The apartment itself is nice and is as advertised. However, it smelled of pot and cigarette smoke when you walk into the shared entryway. The street parking seemed questionable. I actually dreamt my car was broken into and then stolen. The shared entryway should have a code on the door. With the area mildly questionable about safety it would feel more reassuring knowing both doors were secure instead of just the one. We actually blocked our doorway with a heavy object every night just for added security.
Aside from the security and neighborhood issues, the apartment was nice. It is big. Has lots of room. It was further than 15 min from campus as stated but overall fine.
The property itself was as listed and it was very clean and was well prepared for guests, however it was not clear that it was an apartment. The host was not very responsive and we had a few requests that were not answered. We did have an issue with the people living downstairs, they were up partying into the early hours of the morning which made it hard to sleep.
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. It was very clean and we enjoyed the references to the fire house (that this building once was). We were about 10-15 minutes to Notre Dame. The neighborhood was quiet.
