I loved the free bike rental! Being able to bike and not have to find parking was so fun and easy, downtown is a 5 min bike ride! The pool and whole property was very clean. The room has retro decorations. Would absolutely stay here again!

Are there better places to stay in Moab? I'm sure there are. Are there better places to stay at this price point? I can't imagine. So, I'm an irritable person, but the stuff people are complaining about are unrealistic at this price. Here's what I got. 4 days, 3 nights, $260- an above average sized room, 2 queens, towels and linens that weren't that rough, cheap motel crap (that matters to me), a really nice heated pool and lounge area that is well kept, and the best customer service from the kindest people ever. Was the bed lumpy? Sure. Did the tub need a new surround? Definitely. Did the room smell a little? Yup. Did I want to pay more money to avoid those things? No. I had cold air conditioning in 100° weather. The room was clean. My needs were met. This is a motel, not a luxury resort. And it's the best motel I've ever stayed in.

Great retro vibe

This place was a fun departure from the typical hotel. It definitely had a retro feel without feeling rundown or "old". The breakfast was good, and could be eaten out by the pool or in your room.

Everything was amazing at first. The front desk person was very nice during check in. The room was clean and had a fun colorful aesthetic. The problem came the next morning. The stated check out time is 11am. We got a knock at the door from housekeeping at 10:15. No problem, they're just trying to get an early start. Then we got another knock at 10:30. Then a call from the front desk at 10:45 saying check out was at 11. Yes, WE KNOW. Then another knock at the door from a manager (?) at 10:55 saying check out is at 11. We were literally out the door at 11:02. This felt incredibly invasive and rude. If they want people to leave earlier, make the check out earlier. Completely unacceptable.

It was a very comfortable stay. Staff was very supportive. I forgot my laptop in the room while checking out. Within less than 5 minutes, they called me and told me about the laptop. We were not far away, came back and collected it from their office. It is a very nice on their part and I am greatly thankful to them for it.

Enjoyed staying at the Apache Motel!! Updated older motel built in the 50’s. John Wayne stayed here several times. Very clean; free bicycles to ride to town and even had a bike/motorcycle wash with microfiber towels to use for free!

The Apache Motel was a great find if you’re looking for reasonable accommodations in Moab. Staff was first rate. They have a fire pit every night with smores and only 10 minutes from Arches National Park. If you need someone to make your bed daily to feel like vacation, you may want to skip, but if you love a clean, kitschy, retro motel with plenty of charm and a friendly staff…Apache Motel is for you! They also have loaner townie bikes if you’re looking to ride into town got a quick bite. AC worked like a charm in the 90+ weather, and the heated pool was especially refreshing after a long day of hiking. BBQ available for your use if you’re looking to cook your own dinner. The John Wayne theme is so much fun!

John Wayne Getaway!

We stayed for three nights with family. We all enjoyed the historic motel. Parking was easy and right in front of our room. Swam in the pool every day. The rooms are not fancy but had everything we needed. The hotel offers a firepit every night, hammock and books by the pool, outdoor grill area. Bikes were also available. Very fun place to stay! Loved the location off the main street, but close to the off road trails. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple, but was enough. The staff showed us the John Wayne room which was great! Love the history of the motel!
