The Grand Palladium Hotel is in urgent need of renovation. There is still visible hurricane damage, with some areas closed, but many problems clearly predate the storm. The furniture is very old and worn out, several areas show long-standing structural issues, and many sections need repainting. Dining service is disappointing. If you arrive even an hour before closing, empty dishes are not refilled. The dining areas receive only superficial cleaning. While the staff works hard, they are clearly understaffed for the number of guests. Management needs to invest in renovations and hire more staff to improve the overall guest experience.

Positives: Overall a good resort. Great pools, good location next to the beach. Checkin and checkoout process was smooth. Rooms are spacious, we stayed in Junior suite. overall Food is good too. Ease of doing bookings for excursions through Juta or other options. Negatives: Service is extremely slow. We requested extra bedding, the guy came after 30 minutes or so, but didn't bring the blanket. He said he will come back with it but never returned! We waited for 30 minutes and finally went to bed. Tried calling front desk multiple times, nobody picked up the phone. There are multiple restaurants but not all of them are open on any day. In fact, each restaurant is open only for like 2 days a week so in reality there were only 2-3 options for meals. Buffet was nice but need some variety on a day to day basis.

Very nice and welcoming staff. Resort is beautiful with a variety of restaurants for every taste bud. The only thing I would change is the cleaning people using some type of disinfectant to clean bathrooms and rooms because room had an offensive odor upon check in. My next trip to Jamaica I will be staying at this resort again.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. We enjoyed the pool area, and many of the staff members were very kind and welcoming. That said, there are several areas that could be improved. The food at all of the restaurants was mediocre. We were also frequently approached and pressured to purchase spa massages throughout the resort, which felt overly aggressive and became annoying. Additionally, there were many cats around the property, particularly near food areas by the pool and at the Poseidon Restaurant. Lastly, the website advertised non-motorized water sports, but none were available during our stay.

The good first: rooms are spacious and nice, nice villas and large pool. The real bad: Extremely poor customer service, can never get the reception - never picks up the phone, and for every issue we had to walk 10-15 mins to physically talk to them face to face. Our room was leaking all over (bathroom leaking into the bedroom) and the front desk took 3 hours to get us a replacement room at night ! We reported it at 845 pm and got a replacement .... After we literally had to fight...at 1145 pm. My son and daughter, staying in a different room had a similar experience. They were locked out of their room because the locks battery had drained out. Also at night. And the reception was not attending to it promptly..we had to physically stay and push the reception until the issue was fixed, We fully understand that the resort is recovering from the aftermath of the hurricane, and that service disruption is expected. But poor customer service is not an excuse. (I had reported my experience to the customer service desk, but this continued). Our experience in Jamaica otherwise was just fantastic...great beaches, great people, wonderful natural attractions, great food and ambience. Unfortunately the stay at Palladium was not one of them.
