A little outdated, but nothing bad. Great location for easy walking to the water & restaurants. Basic breakfast included which is nice. Nothing luxury or super nice, but the stay was comfortable and i like that our room had a fireplace.

So i took my 4 yr old autistic grandson to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for my birthday. I was looking for a clean safe place for us to stay overnight. This was perfect. We had a wonderful stay. We checked in late (10 pm) the front desk clerk was kind and courteous. The place was clean and quiet. Great stay

Property was nice, kind of confusing layout. Immediately upon arrival our toilet overflowed onto the floor. City garbage pick up is very early in the morning, so if staying in rooms facing West it’s VERY loud at 5:00 AM. Average place to stay.

Delightful stay!

What a lovely place to stay! I would have loved to spend several days there and my friend loved it so much she brought her daughter there a couple weeks later. The suites look like the pictures and are very roomy and comfortable. Our suite had both a shower and a bath tub. Comfy beds (2 in our room) and the sofa pulls out if you have additional people. There is a fireplace which would be so cozy and romantic on a chilly night. A small fridge and microwave allow you to bring food or snacks if you don’t want to check out one of the many area restaurants. They have a substantial included breakfast (the chocolate muffins are worth breaking diet for). Most importantly, they are located in an easy walk to the wharf if you’ve planned whale watching. It’s a great base for exploring so much of what Monterey offers. Parking is plentiful, safe and reasonable. I can’t wait to come back and spend a few days. Thank you to management and staff for a memorable delightful stay.

We were traveling with our newborn and the room had ants. I opened one of her bottles that were on the counter to clean it and a bunch of ants were under the lid. Hotel is walkable distance to everything which was nice.

Great stay on the Bay

Room was huge - dining area, living area, sleeping area and both tub and shower. It's an older building so the floors are a bit creaky and uneven but it was clean and all the staff we met were welcoming and pleasant. Breakfast was basic but it was a continental breakfast. Coffee was good though.
