Great location convenient to shops, restaurants.

The Normandy Inn was in a perfect location right on Ocean Avenue. It was very convenient to the shops, restaurants and beach. We did not have to move our car at all while in town. Parking can be a little tricky as it’s street parking or very limited spaces at the inn. Check in was nice and easy and we stayed in a cottage that was right on ocean. Although it was adorable, next time I would request a room away from the Main Street as the noise level was a lot at times. We were hardly ever in the room so it was not an issue for us. Room was very comfortable and clean however did have a musty smell for the first few minutes every time you came in. Breakfast was lovely, the woman helping there was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a good assortment of breads, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, coffee and juice. It was a great stay, would come back again for the convenient location!

We’ve stayed here many times in the last 5 months. It’s consistently perfect for what we need. Clean, comfortable bed and very convenient location for walking around Carmel by the Sea. Free simple breakfast. Good bathroom. Perfect.

Clean and well maintained! The pillows are soft and the bed is nice and firm. Coffee machine and fridge in room also. Few parking spaces in the center but plenty of street parking although we stayed in the middle of the week. This property is centrally located in between shopping and the beach. Carmel has a very beautiful & clean beach. The sand is white and powdery. Shopping and dining is plentiful in this area also. The hotel itself is clean and updated, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Cecile and Jane at the front desk are very welcoming. The breakfast is a bonus, simple but complete. They have toast, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oj, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The dining room is small but very efficient, a staff is there to help out and make sure everything is clean and orderly. I will surely stay here again when I’m visiting. Thank you so much Normandy Inn!
