We booked a 3 queen bed deluxe room and were given a 2 queen bed room. They said they would issue a $20 refund for the inconvenience. The pool was closed yet the website said it would still be open for our dates.

Very nice staff, nice-looking room. Good hot water. Nice free coffee and tea in AM. But… 1. My tub had no lever to turn the water from tub to shower. It was tub only. I soaped up sitting in the tub in some water. Then I had to use a cup to actually rinse all the soap off of me. Then, I had to get on my hands and knees and stick my head under the faucet to get the shampoo out of my hair. 2. NO AC. The room felt very warm and stuffy unless I kept windows open and the door open for a cross breeze. The weather here is great, yes. But a motel room like that will get very uncomfortable without open ventilation. Opening our windows in our homes is one thing, but doing it in a motel with people coming and going right outside your window? NOT comfortable. 3. If you like a very firm bed, this is the place for you. If not, there is another budget friendly place nearby that I’ll return to on my next bizz trip here.

Good parking, quick check in check out. Rooms were decent, some wear on furniture like the chair but nothing bad. Rooms seem partially renovated (being there’s new flooring but semi older furniture.) Bathroom was fine with decent water pressure too. Very spacious in the actual room though which was nice. Good for the price being. Only complaint i could see other people having but didn’t bother me, was you can hear planes landing and taking off overhead once in a while. But otherwise, I would definitely stay again!

Friendly staff but that was the only positive, room was dirty obviously in need of a deep clean. The floor was actually sticky and the bathroom needs updating. Noisy in the morning as they seemed to have shift workers staying as cars would start leaving around 6am and the guy in the room next door would start his car then sit in for 10 minutes before driving off. Also its a bit away from Monterey and Carmel so you do need a car.
