Disappointing stay

We paid for a two-bedroom / two-bathroom unit, & this unit only had ONE bathroom! We tried to reach the property manager unsuccessfully on arrival to find out where to access the parking spot we paid for, but never got an answer. After scouring the neighborhood, we finally went into the convenience store next door, & were told that the parking was in their lot, next to the building! The neighborhood is very transitional, with a heavy presence of homeless/ impaired people on the sidewalks & in the parking lot next to the building. The area behind the building reeks of urine. The dishwasher either didn't work, or was jammed shut. We enjoyed having a washer & dryer in the unit, & made our one-night stay work, but would not stay here again.

Other than the modern look, the shower was gross with hair and mould and was cold.

Decided to try this instead of a hotel. Space was great, location was great. The owner said I could potentially get in a bit early to put my things in but never got back to me until an hour before check in which didn’t matter by that time. When I got there at the check in time, the cleaner was still there so I waited until she finished. The shower had hair in the drain and mould and discolouration in the corners. I understand it’s winter but the living space was cold despite my adjusting the thermostat to the highest setting. Had to watch TV in the bedrooms because it was so cold. Be sure to double check deposit as I was charged twice the amount requested. Bad first impression using VRBO.
