Great location, near old town, near bus station, train station, but the chinese streets looks dirty and many people using drugs and homeless. But the hotel its great, clean, good price and great location.

The most important thing for me when choosing a hotel in this area was parking. This hotel showed up in my search as one that offers parking, but it turns out they charge $32 per night plus tax. I wish this information had been made clearer upfront, since it makes a big difference in the overall cost of staying here. Otherwise, the location seemed convenient, but the parking fee was disappointing.

The hotel was located in China District. It was centrally located. Hotel has a continental limited buffet. Rooms are decent but the most annoying thing was polyester microfiber bedding. We could not comfortably sleep as I wokeup multiple times sweaty. Polyester sheets / bedding was not breathable. Generally IHG chain has cotton based sheets. Mattresses were also old and bumpy. Not a good value for money. Staff was very courteous and helpful

$390 a night is ridiculously overpriced for this tired old property with no view, except right into the rooms across the courtyard. Reception on a different floor from entry was inconvenient and arrival reception staff was rude and departure staff couldn’t direct me to the train station.

Great hotel for cruise port

We took a taxi from Via Rail central station. The cost was around $25. Our driver commented that we were in Chinatown area, and we were. If you want to walk there you could. We are both over 65, and have knee issues We each had a large suitcases, and there was also construction along the way. I was happy for the decision to use a taxi. This was our first visit to Montreal and we are not use to hotelfronts in large cities. The hotel was a little tricky to find. The check-in, bar& restaurant and meeting rooms are on the second floor. There was a security station on the 1st floor when we entered, but no one was there. There was signage to go to the 2nd floor. The restaurant had a large beautiful koi pond with walking-path. We bought breakfast the next am. It was very good, large variety. Our room was large king bed and roomy, the bath was standard size tub/shower combo. We went out and around the block to a walkway with several eateries. It had a lot of foot traffic. We found a little place and had some yummy chicken dishes. The next day we chose to walk to the cruise port. Due to construction, and winter damage, it was a rough walk with our two large bags. there wassidewalk/road damages. It was tough walking uphill to Notre-Dame Basilicata, then downhill to the cruise port. The little time we had in Montreal provided some beautiful photos. I was thankful for the photo stops to rest the knees. We probably took about 45 mins to stop and look around, otherwise 15 minute walk.

Property had a very nice chinese themed lobby. Biggest concern is reception is on second floor. So you have to enter the hotel on the ground floor and take elevator to reception. This means anyone can walk in and take elevators to any floor in the building without anything to really stop them. This caused a fair amount of homeless people to be in and out of the ground floor. The hotel is located near a busy metro station which is helpful to get around. There are several homeless camps to the rear of the hotel. I know this isnt the hotels fault but i believe security should have been increased. The masaage parlor in the basement clearly does not have any licensed masseuse's. I dont believe massages are the focus of the spa's business. Wirh the current amount of road work going on it is very difficult to drive to the parking garage for the hotel. I am only being this critical because of the price point of this hotel. It was 425 CAD.
