The room was a bit outdated with a small kitchenette area, and the heater wasn’t working even after we increased the temperature. We reported it, and someone came to check, but it still wasn’t fixed, so the room stayed cold at night. Despite that, it offered good value for the price. The location was very convenient, within walking distance to the metro station, Eaton Centre, and right across from Starbucks. The hotel staff were accommodating, providing an umbrella to borrow when it rained and allowing a last-minute late check-out when our flight was delayed, which we really appreciated. The only odd part was the lobby sitting area, which had a large black vase that looked like an urn displayed in front of a mirror, along with brochures advertising cemetery services. It felt out of place for a hotel, especially since most guests are from out of town.

Room was ok. A bit outdated. Rugs could’ve replaced. Heavy drapery. Bathtub was old and looked filthy. I’m sure it wasn’t. But needs to be upgraded. Beds are super comfy. Housekeeping was good. Front staff very helpful and friendly.

The location is worth the price though I think it was a little high for other than that. Very safe area. We loved that we could just walk to climb Mount Royal, get to the train station, and enjoy meals on the street called Crescent a short walk away. Not real high scores on cleanliness;we saw two gentlemen coming out of our room with a vacuum cleaner, but when we went in it had clearly not been vacuumed. All they did was pull the bed sheets up each day, so it's for that we'd rather they just had not entered. There were problems with the first room, but they did move us to another in good time... So ask for a mountainside view if they don't charge too much extra. The staff was very pleasant and helpful at all times. There is a rooftop pool that closes the end of October, it's quite nice and heated.
