We booked the apartment as a last minute accomodation while we were in Montreal to accommode changes. An hour after booking we realized we didn't need the apartment and asked to cancel. We were told we could but still had to pay full price. Not very nice, but we agreed to no refunds when we booked so fair enough.However when we arrived the apartment absolutely reeked of a chemical smell. We had dropped our bags off earlier in the day and had noticed how strong it was but we assumed it was part of the cleaning process. We were getting headaches and feeling nauseous, it was that bad. There was no way I was letting my kid sleep there so we left and had to book a hotel...at a crazy expensive rate since F1 was coming t We told the owner right away but kept getting chatbot replies and we still don't have a refund!! Even the bags we stored there stunk like chemical cleaner.The place itself is not nice, the access stairs up feel like they are falling off the building and kitchen dining area is small. Plus the common seating area outside was very dirty and not inviting. The location isn't great for walking to see things but we didn't stay long enough to explore.Having a real issue that is affecting your vacation and only getting an AI chatbot to reply back to your concerns is incredibly frustrating. Feels like a company who is operating as cheaply as possible for maximum profit. Zero care is given about the people giving them the money.I recommend not staying here.
