It is no longer called the Grand Inn. It is now TWH (Temporary Workers Housing). It has a foul smell and there were wrecked vehicles parked on the back side just outside our window. We left to find a different hotel.
The only thing nice was the lady at the front desk. No signage, was turned into local apartment for low cost housing. Room smelled, bad area.
We gave up the non refundable cost and went somewhere else
Avoid unless your desperate
This site is a scam. I booked Grand Inn, the name of the place is different. I arrived at 9:15pm, the reception was empty and it looks horrible.
Do not even consider this place, it's the worst place I've visited in my life.
Very disappointed. Hotel is full of living workers from nearby plants. They leave there constantly, they cook and smoke in the rooms, so you have a certain smell. The guy at the front desk was super indifferent and barely friendly. Also we came at 3:00 p.m. for checking in, and was waiting for him until half past 4, nobody was answering the phone either. Terrible service
There was nobody available at check in. A phone number was posted on a sign to call for check in, but nobody answered the call and voicemail was unavailable. We were not able to check in and had to find lodging for the night elsewhere very last minute.
Very unprofessional!
When we arrived we were told the building was no longer the Grand Inn and that it was for workers only and there were no rooms available. It was the address given when I booked online and was told it was no longer a Grand Inn. We had to find another hotel for our 4 days in Moorhead. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. I would like a refund as I believe my card was charged. I was told it used to be a Grand Inn, but it didn't look like the picture in the ad either. Upon entering, it would not have been an acceptable place -- dirty, noisy, not for a typical tourist at all.
The property is so horrible on the reviews are so horrible that we didn't even stay there and also we could not get a refund they refuse to give us a refund. I actually talked to another hotel and he said that the place is so bad they would actually rather have a stay at their home then have a stay there because their hotel is booked also one more thing the curtains facing the parking lot and the individual rooms had what looked only like blood stains from some sort of murder that happened in the hotel do not stay at this hotel ever
It's not a hotel now, it's a Workforce Housing hybrid kind of thing. The name isn't Grand Inn, it's Light Workforce Housing. Which is fine, there absolutely is a place for temporary workforce housing and low income temporary housing. The issue is that they are still taking reservations on Expedia as Grand Inn. They still semi operate as a hotel but it's very much not what the traveling public is gonna expect.
Not docking any points for the facility being old and run down, that's a matter of return on investment and it's a cheap place. Sheets and floors were clean, appliances worked. Bathrooms are antique and rough.
What they need to do is update their listing and be upfront about what they are doing now.
