Really was a great location. We were no more than 15 min from anything you might want to do on a typical Charleston vacation. However, it would be nice if the owner put some money into the furnishings. There was a massive sunk in portion of the couch. So seating for a party of 5 (4 adults and one child) like we were was difficult. The child who was with us so affectionately called it a couch toilet. The kitchen was nice as was the dining table. The beds left something to be desired. All of us were complaining of body aches. Some of the bed linens were stained as well. They smelled clean but if you have stained bed linens you should replace them if you are renting a property. Would also be wise to bring your own towels if you stay. Only one set per bathroom was provided here but there was a washer and dryer. All in all it did the job and the location was great. With a bit of purchasing on the owners behalf the unit would be a fantastic spot.
I am shocked that this place is still on VRBO. We showed up to what apparently was a young guy's apartment that he vacated and put on VRBO to make a few extra bucks. My friend and I had to wash all the sheets which were stained and old, we had to scrub down everything after trying to find another place to stay. We could not find other lodging in the area, or we would have left. Basically it was like staying a weekend in a teenagers room. I called the guy and he was like 'uh oh my mom told me I should not have done this.' I told him I would not write this review if he would give me at least a partial reimbursement but nope not one dime reimbursed. All his half eaten snacks and stuff were in there - luckily we have good senses of humor, and were willing to clean and sanitize our way to a low level of tolerance. We slept on our own clothes and towels spread out on top of the stained bedding. The towels were his own well used towels that his mom probably bought him to take to college. Do not stay here unless you are looking to go back to the nostalgia of your college days and dorm life with a dirty roomate.
