It was a fabulous experience for everyone to sleep in a house with this rich history. Grandkids learned so much about the way it used to be, vs. the comforts of home. Big PLUS, all the beds were so comfortable. To consider, you really can't get an old house to cool down in the heat of the day. Nights and mornings were fine. Great little pool in Mt. Pleasant. Kitchen well stocked. We were on a family history tour about our ancestors in Sanpete area. Everything fit together well.
We absolutely loved our stay in Mount Pleasant. I brought my 92 yr old mother here to visit with her nieces and nephews. I also brought my 2 brothers, my sister in law and my niece. My mother grew up here and my brothers and I spent many memorable summers here with our grandmother. It was a surprise to find out that this house was actually owned by a family member of my cousins back in the 1950's. It was amazing for my cousins to see the house again and reminisce about all the fond memories shared here! My mother has lived in Reno for the past 50 yrs and never thought she would be able to see Mount Pleasant again. Truly a wonderful trip! Thank you so much!!!
This is a very cool historic house. However, I did drive past it as I was looking for a white house. Appears that it is in the process of being sandblasted for a new paint job. everything looks clean and location was good âŠ
I did overlook the fact that it did not have a TV. That was my badâŠ.. I will look for that in the future. Ha ha.
We stayed while attending a family reunion. July is probably not the best time to stay because the home does not have air conditioning, however the home was beautiful. The rooms were clean all other emenities were wonderful. We loved the pictures and history information that was available. Plenty of room for our family of 10 adults and 2 children with room to spare. Close to the canyon so you can take a drive, go fishing or hiking. Beautiful area.
Easy to get to. The inside is beautiful and well kept. The unusually hot weather made it necessary to have open windows and use the fans. That made it ok for sleeping. Lots of bathrooms was great.
The house was really fun, well furnished and with lots of space. The home was built in the 1890's, so there's some creeking and some nuance that accompanies a house that's almost a century and a half old. The architecture was interesting and in many ways, incredible.
My family enjoyed the quiet town. Roy's pizza (Ephraim, 15 min drive) was the best pizza I've had in a long time, and shakes at wheelers (less than a block from the house) were great.
It was nice to be away from screens and noise for the weekend. We played cards and board games and ate good food.
There was an issue we had with the security system. The owner was very responsive and we fixed the issue quickly. We will likely be back. Really was a great time. Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful home.
