I was the only one staying in the entire building so the heat was off in all the rooms. When i would turn on the ancient heater it would run for a minute and turn off due to a missing filter. I would reset it to turn it back on, butonly for a couple minutes. It was below freezing outside. I ended up leaving and renting another room elsewhere.
The bed was decent but not great. Carpet needed cleaning! Walls need to be washed or painted. Bedspread was okay to look at but dirty when we looked at the underside. I can see some efforts at growing plants for the outside but they need to step it up.
When we arrived there was a smell, wasnât too bad we just opened the windows. One of our friends realized there was what seemed to be blood on the carpet⊠was very unsettling. everything else was pretty average, the shower curtain also seemingly had some blood on it though.
This motel is convenient to the freeway, but not so convenient to a variety of dining options. It is clean, but old. The TVs definitely need to be replaced. I don't think they are even HD compatible. Mine looked like it just stretched the picture and was quite small. There was a lamp on only one side of the bed. On the plus side, it's a quiet area and appears safe. I think it was overpriced for what it offered.
Last minute booking. "Lobby" was overpowered by food smells as it was directly connected to the owner's residence. Our room had a pile of dog kibble in the carpet at the baseboards. The "white" bath towels looked great folded up, but once they were unfolded, dust marks were apparent in the shape of a tic-tac-toe board where the towel had been folded. Long dark hairs in the bathtub and shower. The sheets seemed clean and the A/C worked.
Friendly staff and room had a clean smell to it but there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door from another guest and cracked sink and tiles. With a little TLC, it could be a great place
The location was continent enough (with a car) just a couple of minutes from the college and about 10 minute drive from Shasta. Beds were tolerable.
The room with two beds is very tight, we had do a dance just to go to the bathroom (one of the beds is almost blocking the bathroom).
We stayed there for 5 nights and there was no room cleaning, at all, even after requesting it.
