Very disappointed in this property. Worst place we’ve ever stayed

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was aweful. The air vents dripped water ran down the walls and made the carpet wet, which caused it to have a bad mildew, musky nasty smell to the point it was about unbearable. Definitely need to address this issue as I know there had to be mildew under the carpet, possibly mold. The toilet barely flushed, felt like the handle was about to break. The toilet tank was about to fall off. Door handles about to fall off. Couldn’t hardly get into bathroom because the door hit the washer dryer. Nothing to really cook in as there was no pans. Just all around worst place we’ve stayed. Will not be booking this place again.

The furniture is quite old and dirty, the sliding door was very tough to open and my parents could not even open it at times. Further, there seemed to be a cockroach problem (whole building, not just this unit) as we saw multiple on the deck, kitchen and in our food on top of the microwave.

But did not no there was no screen door so you could not leave the slider open and listen to the ocean. Last year there was a dirty washcloth left over showerhead, dishes were dirty, and we killed numerous roaches. Were reluctant to stay here again but decided to give it one more try and had a good experience. Condo was clean and no roaches. Great location; good customer service from Garden City realty. We will stay here again. New mattresses would help. Nice deck furniture and kitchen table. Condo is a good size for our family.

Reviewer Comments: After driving for 12 hours the last thing I wanted to do is come in and clean. There was candy on the floor through out the main bedroom with a spoon tucked between carpet and wall. Coffee mugs coated with what appeared to be dried on chocolate. The closets (2) were full with "stuff" we had to unload in order to use.The wicker bedroom furniture was so coated with embedded dust and dirt we used a towel to cover in order to use. Bathroom floor carpet which was hanging on the door towel bar,was grossly old and crisp.Pillows stained with no pillow cover. Deck was very nice except for the beach chairs that were dirty and coated with sand as well as a very sandy boogie board. Not sure if someone forgot or left by owner. Again needed to clean up and store before we could enjoy the deck. After sanitizing kitchen area and dishes,buying coffee mugs as well as protective covers for the pillows we did enjoy our time but will look for another place in the future. Quite a shame because with just a little TLC this could be a beautiful property.
