We stayed 9 days at the end of August. There were 3 of us, so plenty of space (it could sleep max 10 but would be pretty crowded with that many). The property is on an island (with a short bridge to the mainland). The cottage itself is on a quiet little bay with a view west for lovely sunsets, to be enjoyed sitting at the fire table on one of the three levels of deck. Beds are comfy and everything you could need for a cottage holiday is provided. A nice functional kitchen, too, and a big BBQ on the deck off the main floor (the top floor which also contains a bathroom with shower and 2 bedrooms). The bottom floor contains 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom plus washer and dryer. There is even a bunkie with two separate beds. Unusual in cottage country, there is central A/C, a real plus. We loved the hot tub after a swim from the dock in the cool water. Communication with the owner was excellent--even sent someone over to adjust the fire table. Lots to do in the region, including short hikes. The nearby town of Bala (15 min or so) has a good grocery store and a terrific bakery (Don's), as well as a few restaurants, and the town of Port Carling is maybe 20 minutes in the other direction with more restaurants and shops. Highly recommended; we'd be delighted to return!
