We enjoyed the balcony facing the beach and we could see pods of dolphins from the comfort of our chairs (on the balcony). The condo was great, clean and just as described. It was a very easy check-in. The parking passes were waiting for us in the condo and there were multiple pool bracelets (we never had to use them). We had a small issue with the shower and someone came right away to solve the problem. Everything else was perfect. The host was very easy to contact and was quick to respond. We would recommend this host and stay again.

Fun level (F) Cost of Stay (C)/Toilet Paper Rolls 1

The condo had a great ocean view from the 11th floor, looked to be updated and included most kitchen basics. It sleeps 6, which worked well for our family of 5. Pools and a lazy river are available if that’s your thing.However, there were several issues. We were denied linen and towel service from the front desk due to booking via VRBO and we were told by through the VRBO inbox to buy our own toilet paper after being given just 1.5 rolls. For a 2,000 stay, we expected more than “starter items.” We eventually found the laundry room unlocked, washed our bath towels, but the washer broke mid-cycle and only half of the dryers worked. The humidity made it nearly impossible to dry towels.The gym was damp and had no cleaning wipes. We received the key on day 2. The carpet outside the unit stayed soaked, and the hallways/balconies/elevators smelled of weed despite being labeled smoke-free. A bug showed up in our kitchen and was identified as a “palmetto bug,” but it appeared to be a German cockroach to me. It ran under the stove and I found a dead one there as well. Pest control was offered the day before checkout.In the pool, we were told no throwing football or volleyball. However, vaping/weed was tolerated and in plain sight. Overall: Great location, but service and basic amenities were lacking. Consider booking directly with the property or looking for a full-service resort for a smoother experience.

Not that great

We did not like our stay at this property. A couple of positives were that the apartment itself was clean and had nice, direct views of the beach.The email with the instructions to check in is very non-welcoming. It warns you that you should not be trying to check in earlier than the 4 o’clock check in time or you will be charged for the audacity. It also warns you that you should not take any of the towels or any other items in the apartment when you leave as everything is under inventory. I don’t know what kind of guests the management company is used to dealing with but this kind of language in a “welcoming” message is very off-putting to say the least.The building where the apartment is located is old and kind of run down. The elevators are dirty so first impressions are not great. The layout of the apartment is also weird as you enter from the hallway straight into the bedroom which means that the bedrooms are just a door and a window away from the hallway which makes it very noisy during the night when you are trying to sleep. There was a strong smell of cigarettes in the room which we could not get rid of as well as other weird smells in the bathroom. The apartment is outdated, a few items of decoration try to make it seem cozy but they are not up to the job.Overall, we did not enjoy our stay at this property.

Great vacation!

My daughter and son in law own a condo in the Cayman and when my husband and i were looking for a place to book we found the unit in the Dominican and it was just what we needed. Spotless and had to have been recently updated everything felt new! Great location and great amenities! Would definitely choose this unit for any future stays!
