Kingston Plantation est un complexe privé et fermé de 145 acres avec des équipements, dont un club de sport et de bien-être, et un tennis (frais supplémentaires), comprenant également plusieurs lacs, des paysages luxuriants, des restaurants, des chênes recouverts de mousse et bien sûr le bord de l'océan! Le North Hampton Tower est la tour dans laquelle se trouve le KPH 1009; il se trouve sur une vaste étendue de plage et le grand balcon privé avec vue sur l'océan est un rêve! Il y a 3 télévisions dans le condo, avec un lecteur dvd et une connexion WiFi gratuite. Les installations de North Hampton comprennent une piscine intérieure et extérieure ainsi que des jacuzzis. Kingston Plantation est situé dans la région de Shore Drive, à proximité de Restaurant Row, du centre commercial Myrtle Beach et de toutes les grandes attractions de Myrtle Beach, à seulement quelques kilomètres de la route. We loved our stay. The ocean was right there. The pool was right there and clean with bathroom. Beach chairs provide with a cost. The only thing I wish the property provided was at least two beach chairs.

This unit was just as advertised. It was a good size, very clean, had all kitchen appliances needed, and had a huge deck with great views of the ocean. The location, building, and grounds are one of the best in Myrtle Beach.

Great location. Secure, but condo needs cosmetic work, couple of electrical outlets were loose and plate covers and wall paper needed touch up work. Ocean views were awesome. Would stay at this property again.

Overall great place to stay

Overall this property was a great place to stay. The kitchen was well supplied. We would have preferred a much more firm mattress in the master bed room. My wife and I ended up sleeping in the second bedroom on the single beds. They offered a little more support but could use an update as well.

Very disappointed in the checkin/checkout process.

I did not like that Carolina Properties was located so far away from my rental and that it was such a difficult process to get my keys after hours. I won't use vrbo again for any vacation travel.

VERY dirty would never stay here again!

Stayed here July 2008, can't believe how dirty it was. Years of bad cleaning. Can tell no one monitors this place! Complained to the rental agency and they didn't even act I was speaking to them. Just a blank stare at me when I was giving details to them! No "sorry" or any concern at all! Do not stay here! It is cheap but, there is a reason why!

The condo unit itself was fine. The amenities was not all that good. First of all, you have to drive 8 miles away to get a key to let you in the buildilng, and into the condo. When you leave, you have to drive the same distance to drop off the keys. Being that you're a guess and not a resident, the only door you are allowed to enter is the front door to the building. When you leave the beach, you have to walk all the way around to the front of the building to use the key to get in, since guests are not allowed to use the access code to the other doors. There is an indoor pool, and supposedly an outdoor pool, but the guests are not allowed to use the pools unless you pay a 20.00 deposit to the manager on site. We never saw anyone to pay this deposit to. Per the instructions we were given, it said we are to put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher at checkout and turn it on. We were not given any dishwashing detergent. The instructions gave two phone numbers to call for cleaning needs. One to a Ricardo, and one to I believe was Sarah. We left messages at both these numbers, and noone called back. We called the realty place that rented us the condo, and they said the dishwashing detergent was in the convenience packet that is on the counter. When I said that there was no convenience packet, and that must be why we were missing so many items in the kitchen and bathrooms, she did not know how to respond.

Love the Location

Over the past 23 years we have stayed at many Kingston Plantation properties, and the North Hampton building is hands down my favorite. The resort has a great island vibe to it, there are several exceptional restaurants in the area, and the staff are always pleasant. This unit is a bit smaller than some and has a lot of new but basic furniture and kitchen appliances. It was clean and the view was stunning. Perhaps best of all, the beach at the resort tends to be relatively uncrowded. I deducted a bit for two inconveniences. First, the newly-equipped kitchen was missing a dish drying rack and there was only one dish towel to set them on. Also there were no hot pad potholders, so we needed the towel to handle pans out of the oven. The management company was unable to get either to us so we bought them ourselves nearby and left them at the unit. The only way we could be reimbursed was to drive to the management office, which was 15 or 20 minutes one way, depending on traffic. Which brings me to the second point, that check-in at the manager’s location is very inconvenient. I have checked in to this building using a building lockbox in the past, it’s too bad that was not the case for this unit. We also had to drive back up there to return the keys to their drop box. I would definitely rent here again, especially if the check in arrangement was different.

Dirty, Filthy Unit

We walked into a dirty, uncleaned unit. I spend hours when arriving cleaning as the property is secure and will not allow third party cleaners onto property after 5pm. The cleaners came the next morning, but we could not use the bathrooms or unit with it being so dirty the day/evening we arrived. Bathrooms had layers of hair, dirt and grime. The floors had layers of dirt as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. We had to go purchase new sheets and blankets from Walmart to use. We were refunded for cleaning fee- that still does not make up for the hours of cleaning and the purchase of cleaning and bedding products. Towels- they supplied they are white thin and dirty with brown marks. It wasn’t just that it was not clean, but the condo is in dire need of a deep cleaning. There are layers of dirt and grime. Everyday was a battle in taking a shower. The shower rod was taped together, shower rings would not slide and would pop right off- then once in the shower - it was a battle with the plastic liner. The unit is in need of basic maintenance, the wallpaper is coming off the wall and the baseboards are dirty with large chips of wood missing. The resort offers many amenities but this unit does not offer access to the amenities. The one oceanfront pool that we could access had gross floaters. Carolina Resort vacations manage this property, they should be out inspecting the properties to make sure the units are properly being cleaned and maintained.
