This little spot was perfect for me. I stayed inside for the most part as I was able to do my work from my laptop. I will say that the hotel was terrible though. Itâs well past itâs prime. Over half of the pools were shut down which didnât bother me. What did bother me was the smell of the property. It was terrible. The place is on its last leg. I can see why they are selling the rooms off as condos. I greatly appreciate the owner of the property fixing up the room. It really was terrific. I just wish it were in a better property.
The room itself is amazing, everything was very clean and we enjoyed the room. The hotel it was in however was not as much. The entire hotel reeked of marijuana which is okay for some people but not everyone particularly enjoys that smell. They were also doing some construction work on the hotel during our stay so you couldnât sit on the beach without the loud banging of scaffolding right behind you. The hotel is supposed to have multiple pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers but they were all still shut down and we only had access to one pool and 2 hot tubs that stayed packed all day long. We had no issues with our room or the people we booked through but the hotel it is located in was enough for us to decide to not rent there again.
The room was nice and we booked last minute, so would not expect luxury. Some insects, but otherwise clean. However, we did not know that we could not purchase ANYTHING on site from the hotel (coffee, food, beverages) even with cash. This should be clearly explained so people can plan.
