We were impressed with Shane and how quick to help he was with anything needed and the rest of the team were really friendly. The included breakfast was a nice touch, if you want it and they are willing to make something you if ask.
However, it was not what we were expecting and thatâs why the low score from us. The place is listed as having amenities that donât exist (swimming pool, onsen, bar which is under construction). None of these things exist. The property is very much a work in progress, with things like no lights over a dark staircase, holes in the wall in our room and a leaking toilet. A big thing for us was the fact that we got no room key, we were under the impression that it was more of a hotel than it actually was. Instead it was like a backpackers hostel. If it had been listed as such, we would not have stayed. There was a communal lounge, but as we wanted to spend time just the two of us, we didnât want to mingle with strangers to get to watch Tv of an evening. The bedroom wasnât nice to hang out in either, so we went out. Overall, we were disappointed with the stay and the cost for such a basic accommodation that doesnât match ANY listing on any website. We suggest you check and update the listing to give a more honest and accurate view of what people are paying for in advance. As Iâve said, Shane was lovely, but we felt a bit mislead about what to expect before arriving.
