We stayed at the Apartments Hakuba last minute when our original hotel proved to be extremely dirty and uncomfortable. The owners were quick to respond which made our last minute booking easy! Only thing I would change is making the beds more comfortable and providing some coffee or at least a standard coffee pot, only option was a little Nescafe machine where you needed specific pods, so we had to leave to grab coffee each day since we didnt have a car. Also, I called the main number to book a transfer on our day home and they set it up, then a couple hours later knocked on our door and said they coudln't provide the transfer because we didnt buy the package that included it. I wish they would have allowed us to pay or gave us the transfer anyways since they made the mistake and originally said they could. Overall, I would stay there again!
Building great, new, clean, very warm, good water pressure.
Location great if you only plan on skiing ⊠otherwise.. a bit remote. Lift chair Sakka 3 is about a 6min walk up hill to the chair lift. Itâs not ski in/ski out.
thereâs a bus to gondola, but it doesnât run very late. I think 5:30pm was the last bus. After that you need a taxi or your car. Taxi was very hard to get.
The sister hotel (gondola hotel)had a shuttle, but apparently we didnât book the right package and they wouldnât give us a ride up the hill. With no taxis avail, it made for getting luggage to our hotel in a bizzard extremely difficult. Which was kinda sad since their van was literally sitting there and we even offered to pay them for the ride.. nope. They said they werenât insured.
So if you stay here, plan accordingly and have arrangements or youâll be stuck.
Our last hotel Le Bocage actually were kind enough to drive us to this hotel. And they even have a shuttle service to their cool diner, Tap room at Panorama Hotel. Just ask for Dom.
Communication with apartment Hakuba was poor. I emailed them several times prior to arrival but didnât get a response. There is no luggage storage if youâre wondering. You can store it at the sister hotel Gondola hotel. But good luck getting to apartment later in the day, during peak season.
Only a few places to eat in walking distance. Do try the food truck! Sheâs wonderful and thereâs an igloo and bbq grill
The location of Apartments Hakuba was perfect - just a short walk to the ski lifts, bus stop & restaurants. The accommodation is pretty new so still in great condition - basic but clean. It wasn't as large as other 2 bedrooms that we've stayed at but was adequate for us & our adult son.
The property location is ideal for ski in/out at Happo One. Unfortunately, the only grocery store is a 20$ taxi drive (one way).
Communication was extremely hard prior to check in. We called the # from expediaâs confirmation email and it was an australian number that was out of service. We emailed 3 different contacts only to be answered 2 days later saying that they could not help us as they were in australia. Once we arrived, the phone was a direct line to the local staff, which were amazingly helpful!
Only other comment I would add is that isolation is not great. You can loudly hear all your neighboursâ every move.
