Extremely noisy in the late evening, early night. Lots of construction in the area. Hotel is older. Door wouldn’t lock fully, carpet a bit dirty but it was affordable and staff was awesome!

I’ve stayed at nicer hotels for less money in Nanaimo. Other than reception area not very updated. Deadbolt on door to room doesn’t lock, extremely hot in room when checked in, ran a/c for 4 hours while out and didn’t cool rim off hardly at all.

The rooms smell musty, and the lady that was training the girl up front was snooty, sarcastic and argumentative and when we asked about a dog she said there was no room for that and if you bring a dog , i will charge you 400.00. We don’t have dog with us it was a question. It was like she didn’t want us to stay at the hotel.

Plumbing service report

My overall stay was satisfactory however I mentioned to the front desk when checking out that the plumbing in the tub and shower needs to be checked as the shower head was running as well as the tub faucet. This should be checked as only the shower head should be working separately from the tub faucet. Otherwise my stay was satisfactory.

What we liked: comfortable bed, clean room; the hotel is located close to the ferry terminal, and many restaurants and stores are close by. What we didn't like: The hotel advertises having a sauna room but we were told it has been closed since 2020. A bit disappointing!
