We were pleased with Casa Margherita. Very clean and updated room in an interesting neighborhood / great location. The host was communicative and helpful. One negative is that the Wi-Fi was spotty, not a strong signal.

Location is brilliant between Via dei Tribunali and Spaccanapoli, otherwise I wouldn't recommend this place. First of all the host was asking for a bigger tourist tax per person (kids included, whereas kids didn't pay tourist tax earlier) than mentioned on Hotels.com or any other site I could find. I was trying to understand the process and ask him for a direct link to the information, but he refused to do that and sent random screenshots instead. He also asked to send passport photos via Whatsapp for automatic check-in. He started calling me annoying, when I was trying to ask him to inform me once he had provided the passport information to the authorities, so that I could delete the passport information from Whatsapp. Beds were okay to sleep, but there is an outrageous smell of some kind in the small entrance hall and also in the room. Probably some kind of cleaning product, as the towels smell more or less the same. Breakfast at a nearby coffee place is a coffee and a croissant. Very basic. This is a great location for your stay in Napoli, but I wouldn't go again to this place and unfortunately can't recommend it to other visitors.
