This was the fifth time I've stayed at the Regatta at Vanderbilt Beach with my family. We stayed at different condos within the development each time and this was our first time in this unit. Upon arrival, the owner/mgt had a mix up and didn't schedule the cleaners. The unit was a mess with extremely dirty floors, dirty linens, towels, etc. I contacted the Realtor and the cleaners arrived around 6:00 and stayed until 9pm. We had to leave during this time which was very inconvenient, especially with a 1yr old child. After the cleaning fiasco, several other deficiencies were discovered. The unit was suppose to have a hair dryer, iron and board. These were not present. Unit also lacked sufficient bath and pool towels if you have more than 2 people staying. The unit sleeps 6. I reached out to the Realtor who brought the items the next day. She was very responsive. The experience felt like the owner may be preparing to sell and not wanting to invest in the little things that set rental units apart. Lack of towel bars in the showers was annoying as well.
Walked to Vanderbilt Beach, pool was great, fully equipped with beach chairs, coolers, everything you could want. Two nice grills at the pool for grilling- which we did- if you donât want to go out to eat every night. Publix and CVS and restaurants right down the road. Very safe neighborhood and security on property was great! Simply Awesome.
A beautiful condo overlooking the pool! It was stocked with everything we needed for a nice family vacation, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, towels and even a wagon. Parking and check in were very convenient. Itâs a little bit of a walk to the beach but with the wagon to pull your stuff it wasnât too bad
We had a challenging start due to hidden and limited information on the unit (log in to wireless, setting up TV, etc.). The best part of the unit is the adjustable recliners and TV. The wireless internet is a major limitation, operating at only 85 mps or so and dropping us off the internet 3-4 times every day (my wife plays competitive "duplicate" bridge on line). Regatta at Vanderbilt was pretty crowded (as is all of Naples) in February and there were lots of often rowdy kids in the pool, so seniors beware renting a unit Jan-March. Vanderbilt Beach as well was chock-a-block towel to towel for 100 yards North and South. Every year the past several years the polar vortex has pushed cold into the south center of the country and nearly all of Feb this year it kept Naples a bit cooler than normal and windy nearly every day with winds usually off the Gulf. Generally Naples has been reliably warm (we've been coming for nearly 20 years for a winter break from New England cold. This year was probably our last trip down.
Property was a disaster. We inquired on the condition of the overall property and was not informed on the ongoing construction. We arrived and the lanai was fifthly and needed to be mopped; some lightbulbs in the high-hat lights needed to be replaced in the entry way and the master bath; hard to miss. Clothes dryer did not work the first few days and it was replaced; same issue after the new dryer was installed. I determined that the dryer vent outside the unit was sealed shut and I had to climb up and release it; probably didn't need a new dryer. Toilet in the guest bathroom never shut off and the hot water did not work in that shower. Had to wait on various days for workmen to come in and fix the issues. Very noisy location and with the construction around the pool, not luxury or relaxing at all. Another property that we booked had the courtesy to inform us of the ongoing construction and offered a refund or a reduced fee; we took the refund and booked what we thought was a luxury condominium. The unit was never inspected before our arrival and many of the issues could have been addressed. Instead, part of our vacation included waiting for workmen to arrive for the needed repairs. I could go on, however, I may run out of space. Owner offered $100 for our 3+ days of inconvenience which I find insulting.
This property was a two block walk to Vanderbilt Beach. No worries about parking as there is parking on site. Made trips to the beach super easy. The grounds are beautiful and they have a great pool. It was a nice size condo with three good size bedrooms. Nice size kitchen with any appliance you could possibly use. Our family totally enjoyed it! Would definitely go back again.
We had a wonderful stay at Regatta this year. The unit was super clean and the property manager was very organized and responsive to our questions for arrival procedure. All of the codes worked on all the doors which was great. The unit was well-equipped with everything except grilling utensils, so perhaps pack or buy your own if you intend to grill. We were very happy with our stay and our host.
Great to rent through Verbo. Rental person and host easily reachable when we had questions. Property was clean, and beautiful, location 5 minutes from beach pool was easily accessible and view of the pool from large terrace. Exactly what we wanted.
This property is not luxury or upscale, as stated in the description on VRBO. It also does not have 2,000 square ft of indoor living space, as also stated in description. This property is listed for 6 guests. There is not access to the breakfast bar, it is blocked by large furniture and only 4 chairs at the dining table. There is mold on the shower curtain and a fowl smell coming for the corroded tub drain. There is no lint filter in the dryer....only rust. The beds are very uncomfortable. The owner claims that the new beds are backordered and did not advise us or rent at a later date. The cream carpet in the bedrooms need cleaning and stretching at least. The walls in the master bath shower space have buckling paint and mold in the corner wall, near the floor. The owner stated that this is the first time she has rented this property and made light of the situation. It is near the beautiful beach, the pool is beautiful, and near grocery stores and restaurants.
Great Location and easy check in, though you only got one key. Big balcony and kitchen had all items one would need. The property manger got back to me timely with answers to my questions. Downside for us is mattress were very firm. The guest bathroom had an odor whenever you use the shower it was worst. I think the drain needs to be clean.
Great location and very comfy condo. Many amenities like heated pool/hot tub and exercise room. Love the location walked a block and 1/2 to beach great jogging area along Gulf Shore Drive. Condo has many household items you didnât need to buy. Master bedroom was very cozy and quiet, two front rooms were also nicely appointed. Large screened in patio overlooking the pool was nice in the evening for drinks and apps. Loved our stay!!!
We enjoyed our stay! It was clean and great location! There was internet and cable but we had issues using the technology for the cable. Directions for using the TV would have been helpful.
We hope to return in the future!
Great location for grocery, errands, dining and the beach. Beach is a short walk. Pool is nice also in the afternoon after the beach.
Property manager very responsive and helpful.
