We enjoyed our stay at Downtown Dolly. The unit itself is very nice, clean, and well-located, and overall it was a decent place to stay. That said, there were a few things that could really improve the experience; especially for winter stays. The temperature difference between levels was significant. The downstairs bedroom was unbelievably freezing, with very little heat coming through, and there were not enough blankets provided to stay warm. Adding blinds to the large ground-level window would also help reduce the cold substantially. We literally had to sleep with hats and coats on to stay warm. In the kitchen, we would have appreciated a few additional basic items, such as a cutting board and a pitcher, which would make meal prep easier. Finally, since this was a January stay, it would have been helpful if the snow and ice had been cleared from the steps and near the garage door. The icy conditions made the steps quite slippery and potentially dangerous. With a few adjustments, especially addressing heating, safety in winter conditions, and a couple of kitchen essentials, this would make a better place to stay.
