You cannot beat where this cottage is located! Walking downtown Franklin is pretty easy and the cottage is no more than about a 15 minute walk from everything.Size is perfect and very well laid out. You have plenty of space and do not feel crowded while it is cozy and inviting! The bed is awesome and very comfortable. Driveway can be a challenge if you have a large SUV, but take advantage and park on Evans Street by the AT&T fence.Would recommend to any couple who need a place to stay while visiting downtown Franklin, TN.
What a great little place, in the perfect location. We were able to walk to the heart of downtown Franklin. Would highly recommend to single/couples for a getaway. Only note would be parking. We had a large SUV and it was tight (doable but tight). Host was super accommodating and let us use other driveway when it was not in use.
We stayed two nights at this property. The location is great in that you can easily walk to the restaurants and shops downtown. The place is like an efficiency apartment ... cute and comfortable with pretty much everything you need. There is a single parking place that is a bit of a challenge, but it is available.
The location is prime. It was a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. No shortage of charm but The humidity in the cottage was a problem. Not that I could see what the humidity was doing to my hair anyways because this property lacked usable mirrors. I mean a decent mirror doesnât seem like a big ask. The WiFi was a joke and Alexa was MIA.
Cute little house, GREAT location. Place had all you need to enjoy Franklin. The only knock I have is that there is no closet to hang clothes. If you go bring a few hangers for your use. Sincerely LPC
It was a cute location close to main street but there were some issues. I couldn't get on line. Only 1 hand towel in the bathroom. No bathmat. Chairs outside were not user friendly. I am used to stripping beds but to be required to do laundry was a surprise. Would not stay there again for the price.
We loved the Bluebird cottage. It was comfy and cute.Walking distance to downtown Franklin.Only change would be to trim the trees near parking spot to widen.
smaller than picture horrible space to try to park and back out into road everyday. bathroom floor disgustingly dirty. looked like something leaked under it. no alexis heard in place so didnât plug anything up. no room on bathroom to hardly sit on toilet and shower. door took awhile to figure out
The property is located within easy walking distance of all the downtown Franklin amenities, it was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. However the WiFi signal was very weak, my phone was not able to establish a connection during my stay and web pages loaded very slowly on the tablet. Further, a box of tissues would have been nice.
Our overall stay was amazing. Property was very clean and walking distance to everything downtown. My only suggestion would be a new mattress. It was quite uncomfortable, other than that, our stay was AMAZING and the cottage was fabulous!!!
The place was decorated impeccably and you can't beat the location. There were a few minor things but they probably wouldn't prevent me from staying again. Owner should do away with the Alexa things because they are a bit of a pain and add very little. Bathroom door should probably get replaced because it squeaks, so your partner wakes up, and there are large gaps that make it less private than I think most people would prefer. 3 coffee pods was not enough for 2 adults 2 days, there was no creamer, and only a couple sugars. Mostly artificial sweetener was provided. I would bring my own sugar in the raw next time. Overall it was a really cute and enjoyable place.
Perfect location, great to have kitchen, washer/dryer, parking spot, sitting area. Is in a former garage behind a house, very quiet and private. Go slowly driving in, steep at the beginning. Would suggest brighter lighting in the bathroom and curtains that cover the windows better for sleeping in. Would definitely stay here again.
The location of the property is very quaint. In a very quiet street behind a beautiful, historic house. The bed was very comfortable. However, upon arrival, the unit was not ready. There were dirty linens on the stripped bed and dishes in the sink. Which made things inconvenient. The owner was very responsive and came over and fixed these things. With such a short turnover period I wondered how much refreshing could actually be done. Thwre were no dish towels and creamers not available for the complimentary coffee. Also, in the shower, bothered the conditioner and shampoos were very low and needed refilling. Perhaps the strangest thing was that someone, I am assuming the owner, because it was sent to my attention, had groceries delivered that I had to put away in the place.because there were diapers, wipes, ground turkey and other miscellaneous items, I knew they were not for me. Maybe if more attention was made to specific details this spot would be more desirable. In retrospect, I should have requested some sort of reimbursement, especially when being inconvenienced on arrival so late in the evening.
Bluebird Cottage is immaculate, warm, inviting, super comfy, a very short walk to everything, nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood, and has everything you need for your Franklin stay. Do not hesitate to book! Oh, and your hostess is super quick to reply to any questions. And yes, Franklin is as cute, fun, yummy, and delightful as you've been told. ;)
Upon arrival, we felt the property had not fully lived up to the marketing promises. Despite the charming historic character of the converted carriage house, some significant functional issues detracted from the overall guest experience.
The charming cottage is an old, converted carriage house repurposed as a vacation rental. As is often the case with these historic properties, the blend of new and old creates a unique ambiance. Compromises must be made to get it right.
Newer elements, like the wood-look vinyl flooring, have been installed over uneven older surfaces. The doors don't quite fit properly, and the mix of repurposed furnishings was meant to evoke a vintage aesthetic and add to the property's historic character.
The cottage's location tucked down an alley behind another rental unit, made it challenging to find initially. We tried to communicate in advance with the owner but were unsuccessful. However, once located, guests will appreciate the convenient proximity to the town's central commercial district and its shops and restaurants.
Inside the cottage, we encountered difficulties controlling essential systems like lighting, air temperature, and shower water. This appeared to be due to the installation of modern fixtures and utilities that compromised their usability, likely in an attempt to maintain the vintage aesthetic.
Overall, while this historic carriage house conversion offers guests a unique vacation experience, it is clear that some critical mainte
