The home and the grounds are absolutely lovely! I hosted Thanksgiving dinner at the farmhouse for 15 people, and it was more than enough space to accommodate everyone for the meal and games. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace and were able to enjoy outside as well with a small fire in the fire pit provided. Six of us stayed overnight and it was more than enough space to accommodate all of us. I would absolutely do it again!

A sweet end to our summer

There isn't much to add to all the other 5 star reviews. We agree that the farmhouse is clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. We especially enjoyed the rainfall shower in the master bath. I nicknamed it little niagra. The donkeys are super cute! Grab one of the brushes hanging by the gate and give them a good grooming - they will love you for it! The large pond in front of the house is deep and clear, perfect for swimming, with just enough weeds to make for good bass fishing. My daughter and I fished almost every evening. It was a great way for us to bond one last time before she heads off to college. There are tons of really good places to eat nearby. Our favorite meal was takeout from Golden Harvest Farms .

Absolutely perfect!

We rented the farmhouse so that we could be close to Stablegate Vineyard where my daughter was getting married. The house was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of room to arrange flowers and enjoy the property. Alisha and Barry were incredibly responsive to numerous texts and calls. The property is a perfect getaway location.

Amazing getaway!

This vacation was just what we needed-an escape from reality! The house and land were absolutely beautiful! We loved the easy access to the pond and the paddle boats and fishing were all great for the kids! The property was very dog friendly and the donkeys were great with them as well! We wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to visiting again! Alisha and Barry thank you for making our vacation amazing!

This is more than a house you are renting! The whole property is amazing! There is a lake, koi pond, chicken coop and donkeys too! The listing is accurate stating you will feel secluded yet not too far from civilization. That's the absolute truth and it couldn't have been a better location! Looking forward to visiting again in the near future!

Serenity

Perfect place for time away to decompress. It snowed on Christmas Eve which added to the relaxation we needed. The mini donkeys were wonderful and loved the carrots. Loved this place.

Amazing!!!

This place is absolutely amazing ! Our children and dogs loved the open space and going out on the pond, petting and feeding donkeys and the abundance of wild life around the area. If we knew how wonderful this place is we would have booked it for a longer trip! Love love love it here as well as the owners are terrific!

Peaceful retreat

Hidden Gem!

Alicia and Barry were the perfect host's. The property was wonderful. Very quiet and private. The pond for swimming and fishing was a great touch. We had a great time paddling and canoeing. Would definitely recommend this property for a family gathering. Plenty of space and very clean.

30th Birthday

The house is spacious, clean, and equipped with all the usual amenities and more. It is located in a beautiful, preserve-like 134 acre setting with a pond and, best of all, very friendly mini donkeys who love to be fed.

Tranquility at its best

Picture perfect place to getaway from the hectic day to day. Felt at peace from the moment we arrived. Perfect for working and homeschooling with beautiful views. Owners were amazing. Donkeys were friendly, fresh eggs from the chickens, nice trails to walk. All and all great place.

Best Getaway Ever

My 9-year old and I absolutely loved this property. The miniature donkeys are in an area just next to the guest house, and spending time with them was the best. The house was incredibly well stocked and beautifully appointed. This was truly a ‘get away from it all’ experience. Alisha and Barry were super responsive and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough!
