Family Vacation

Our extended family had a great time in this lovely home. We enjoyed the shared pool, hot tub, and easy public beach access. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped . We hope to return in the future.

Amazing House and Location

The house has the feel of a 3-story log cabin, gorgeous landscaped property with an abundance of trees for privacy Each room was very comfortable, simple decor and plenty of room. The amenities were awesome with hot tub, movie theatre, community pool and clubhouse with pool and beach accessories lots of seating outside, two washers and dryers, and fully equipped kitchen. We also had immediate help with Juniper Holiday & Home listing agent. Highly recommend.agent

Great house!

We had two families with five kids under five and had a wonderful getaway to kick of the new year. Great time using the hot tub, fire pit for s'mores, movie theater room, and playing games by the fire. Owners were very commmunicative and helpful! You do have to go through two bedrooms to get to other parts of the house- which is quirky but was not an issue for us at all. There's a playground in walking distance which was also great. Loved exploring New Buffalo- had great dining experiences at Postboy, The Stray Dog, and Journeyman Distillery in nearby Three Oaks. Would totally return!

A nice place for a family vacation

I'll start with the good: The house has enough bedrooms to have had our family come and spend some time with us on vacation and not be all on top of each other. Loved the pool access. Did not appreciate that the listing for the house is for 14 people but you could only have 10 people at the pool. We absolutely LOVED the theater room. It was so fun to watch shows and movies in there. The house was in a great location. We loved the firepit and the sticks for marshmallow roasting that were provided were great. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The not so good: For being a premium listing, the house was not as clean as I would have expected. The fridge was straight up dirty. The counters in the kitchen were dirty. We had to clean ourselves when we got there. There were crumbs on the ground and fingerprints on all the appliances and windows. And dust and cobwebs throughout the entire house. Luckily we found the bedding to be clean, which was my main concern. But it was disappointing to have a dirty kitchen and dusty house for the amount of money you pay to stay here. We were supposed to have two bundles of wood upon arrival, but there was no wood. I emailed the property company and got a response that said the wood was in the garage. This was confusing as the garage was all locked up and we had no access. After back & forth, they did drop off wood two days later.

The Moose House was outstanding!

The house was fantastic with a nice layout so each family had their own area plus enough Adirondack chairs around the fire pit for all to use. Hot tub was wonderful, and community pool was only 30 yards from the house and was never crowded. We plan to go back next year!

First annual full family vacation

This is the first of hopefully many annual vacations for our family, adult children, their spouses and children. The moose house was great. In itself it was an explorer. Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and dormer closets extra fun for children. The kitchen was great. Lots of dishes, pots and pans to use. We cooked in every night. There were nine of us with two babies. The clubhouse and pool are one minute away. Unexpectedly nice clean and fun. Communication with the location manager was absolutely excellent. Any query or assistance I needed it was addressed immediately. Really liked having that comfort. If you go into town or the beach, Everything is very close and new Buffalo is a sweet clean and family friendly place. Just like the moose house. Thank you.

Beautiful Property!

The house is well maintained and the outdoor areas were fabulous. We all enjoyed the firepit and hot tub and the community swimming pool was only steps away down the hill. The location was secluded yet close enough to town to walk (a good stretch of the legs). It was an easy 2 block walk to Redamak's - the best burger place ever.

New Buffalo Gem

Centrally located in New Buffalo, this property has it all for a group of family or friends. It’s walkable to restaurants and brew pubs and even the beach. On property, the special amenities such as community pool, theatre room, fire pit and hot tub make Moose Lodge a gem. Property was very clean. Clear communication with the property manager and overall a great place to stay with your group!

Fabulous for Families

Our stay during Christmas weekend was perfect! The house had plenty of space for our 2 families of 4, plus Grandma and our dogs. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy! The fenced in yard was so easy with our dogs. The movie room was a hit! We even watched football games on the big tv! The kitchen was gorgeous and well stocked with all the dishes and utensils. The staff was so attentive and excellent at communicating with us! We are already planning a trip back in warmer weather!

Clean, spacious and homey

Many comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms and a kitchen ideal for cooking for a large group. We enjoyed the large hot tub and fenced in backyard. The property being pet friendly was a BIG plus. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and beginner spices and oils. This property has definitely been invested in and it shows. Also the place was spotless - kept very clean. Only 5 minute drive to the lake. Sits in a quiet community. Very safe feeling area. Heat worked great for it being November in Michigan. Only note is I wish there was a large enough kitchen table for our party to sit at. It only sat 6 people and there were 11 of us. Also it's worth noting that you have to walk through some of the bedrooms to access other bedrooms - good for kids or friends who are comfortable with each other but only 3 of the bedrooms have independent entries (this wasn't a problem for us, and would stay here again).

Great for gathering the family!

My parents, sisters and I gathered our families for my parent’s 50th Anniversary at the Moose Lodge. We had a wonderful extended weekend! It was a great house for spending time together while still giving us lots of space to spread out! The older kids loved the theater room, and we all loved gathering around the fire pit! The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were plenty of beds for us all! Other highlights were the backyard swing and hot tub, the location to walk to the park and downtown, grocery nearby, and the very responsive hosts! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Girls Weekend

We had a group of 8 adult friends staying at the property and we were so happy with our stay. The home is beautiful and was very clean. All the rooms and beds we super cozy and comfortable with nice furniture and decor. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us. A couple highlights were the awesome huge home theater and the hot tub which was the perfect temperature! The neighborhood was nice, quiet and felt very safe, plus is a great location close to restaurants and bars in downtown New Buffalo. We would definitely consider staying here again!
