There was no hot water in the morning. I waited until 11am but it never got fixed, so then I had to leave without taking a shower. It was terrible. Also, the carpet in the elevator, hallway, and my room was also very stained.

We love staying at the Garland the rooms are spacious, the bathroom clean and modern, and the breakfast is nice to get the day started. The beds are comfy and the people are always kind.

The staff is always kind and friendly. What makes me so incredibly sad is that I have been coming here for years and watching it slowly degrade over time. The floors are beyond disgusting and all need replaced. I wouldn't let my children walk around in bare feet, my husband put his flip flops on, and I kept my shoes on as long as possible. The room we were in had a beautiful view and I kept saying that this place could be the most beautiful in Muskingum County, but it just needs really cleaned. The Garland bed sham had red (hopefully not blood) on it. The shower was moldy, dead bugs all over the floors, and broken curtains. I brought back lysol wipes to clean things and showered my kids at my parent's house. I just couldn't have my baby on those floors. Give each room some TLC and watch more people stay with more positive reviews! The staff was great, the lobby was beautifully decorated which means a lot when we're so far away from home on the holidays.

The room was clean and cozy. The beds in these hotels these days are always too firm. That is my only complaint. However, everyone's taste in beds varry so, that's my preference anyway. The breakfast was very good and very stocked. The staff there seem to be on top of things.

It's always a pleasure and although it had been a long time, I was not disappointed. The Garland is a great place for a quiet respite. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff very accommodating. Can't wait until next time.
