I stayed at the New London Inn for two nights while my daughter was on a college visit. I had a wonderful visit at the Inn.
The service was fantastic. I had a very late check in planned for after the staff was gone for the evening (11:30 pm). General manager happened to have stayed late and saw me in the parking lot. He carried my luggage up to the third floor for me. Every staff member I met was very friendly and helpful. The front desk has an assortment of cookies, water and sodas at no charge and in the morning, there is a small selection of pastries.
I booked a third floor room with a queen bed and sofa. The room was adorable with plenty of room. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms don't have refrigerators, but the glass stoppered bottle filled with water was a nice touch. The Elms restaurant was excellent and has a great atmosphere. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stay at the New London Inn.
The Inn is historic, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our room was clean and pleasant. We enjoyed specialty cocktails while chatting with a friendly bartender about the Inn and the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. In the morning we enjoyed pastries and coffee in a gallery sitting room. Lovely stay.
Lovely place, friendly staff, and super easy check-in, The room was comfortable but my only complaint is that the window AC was really loud. It was too hot to sleep without it so I had to choose the lesser of two evils: heat or noise. Either way, I didnât get a good nightâs rest.
Staff was very accommodating, and the service was great, food, drinks, good coffee in the morning and the food we pretty good as well. Would definitely stay there again. Has charm and warmth you don't feel at other inn's or hotels. keep up the good work
