Everything was perfect⊠the place was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and very welcoming. We enjoyed the hot tub twice and could tell it was very clean. The fire table outside was so romantic watching the autumn leaves fall. Thoughtful touches such as slippers, snacks, and a bottle of wine made us feel right at home. We would be thrilled to stay again in the future. The host was so responsive and helpful!
The home is beautiful! Very clean and made us feel right at home. We didnât use the kitchen but very well stocked. Loved the fact that yaâll have thought of everything and we didnât have to run out and get extras. Highly recommend!!
Cabin and hot tub were very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the trees. We could see an eagleâs nest off in the distance. Ilana was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.
This home was wonderful for a girls getaway! It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Everything was clean and fresh. Ilana is responsive and helpful. Definitely would stay her again!
Perfect get away to find peace and recharge. Spent four nights at Lakota to escape the DC hustle and left refreshed. Bed was very comfortable as was the couch and outside furniture. Kitchen is well equipped. The cabin sits back from the main road and is obscured by trees from the road behind so plenty of privacy and quiet. The recently graded and smoothed access road is gravel which wasn't an issue with our SUV and we saw plenty of non-SUV vehicles going up and down (early September). Communication with the hosts was excellent. The town of New Market is about ten minutes to the west and offers a few things to do, a small general store, and several places to eath. Luray is 20 minutes to the east and has much more. Harrisonburg is 30 minutes south and has (almost) everything.
Great communication with Ilana and Mike in responding to any questions we had! Very quiet location nestled in the woods. Clean. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire table. It is a good 20 minute drive to the NP and to restaurants outside of New Market but we chose Lakota Cabin given it is centrally located in the valley and we were visiting primarily for the hiking at NP. For dinner we recommend The Chop House in Luray and Camino Real in New Market. Breakfast at Jacksonâs Corner in New Market and The Magpie in Harrisonburg are both great choices. For wineries recommend Cross Keys for the wine, views and food.
What a wonderful weekend it was! The cabin was just beautiful and relaxing and the owners thought of everything, including slippers, towels for the hot tub and even make up remover wipes not to mention remembering our anniversary with champagne and a happy anniversary card to start off our anniversary weekend. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!!
Lakota Cabin is the perfect little get away! Everything was just as described, plus a few extras to make us feel welcome. Itâs beautiful, comfortable, very clean, and has a well stocked kitchen. We hope to return soon!
Everything in the listing was spot on and then some! Our host were so nice and provided a clean, comfortable and serene place for us to stay on our getaway vacation. The cabin was so homey and welcoming. There are sooooo many things to do and see in the area. I highly recommend the Lakota Cabin.
This cabin was so cute and clean and perfect for a quick getaway. The kindness the owners exhibited leaving a birthday card for my daughter and the little extras made it all that much better! Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of Heaven....we will be back in the fall!
This cabin is located well off the main road but close to town and major attractions. We visited the Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns and the Civil War battlefield and museum in New Market. Itâs also not far from Cooterâs. If you are a Dukes of Hazzard fan you have to stop there. The cabin is very comfortable, well equipped and communication with the host was great.
The property was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The owners were great with communication and it was easy to find thanks to their great directions. Easy trip to New Market for dinner and from Luray after visiting the caverns. The hot tub was an extra treat as was the stargazing.
We absolutely adored our stay! The Lakota Cabin is cozy, beautifully maintained, and exactly as advertised. The hosts were incredibly responsive and stayed in touch throughout our visit. The location strikes a perfect balanceâpeacefully remote yet still within 20 minutes of some great little places to eat. The amenities were top-notch, and we especially loved relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was immaculately clean, and every detail felt thoughtfully prepared. We would absolutely stay again!
This property has all of the amenities you could hope for to make you feel right at home. These hosts thought of everything! They were also very responsive for any questions we had throughout our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Such a beautiful and peaceful retreat! This comfy cottage included every amenity and the host was so kind! We were visiting Virginia with our son for our 21st Wedding Anniversary! We enjoyed so many activities but so nice to wind down at our mountain oasis!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home! The experience was truly great, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The outdoors were absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic escape. I would definitely love to come back and spend more time here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
Hands down one of the best properties Iâve ever been to! The cabin is cozy and welcoming and in the middle of a beautiful space with tons of privacy and calm. On first look, it seems like a quaint cabin, but inside itâs fitted with modern appliances and stocked up with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail is truly off the charts. The bost, Ilana, is easily the most responsive and wonderful host ever, and her compassion and kindness are truly what make the experience all kinds of wholesome. She was super understanding about us delaying our checkout because we were snowed in, and offered help to plow through the thick snow. Bonus points that it snowed while we were there, which made the experience infinitely more rewarding and unforgettable. Highly recommend and MUST visit :)
