Quiet at night. Staff were pleasant, but could be friendlier/ more welcoming. Did not feel safe walking around at night to catch a bus. Ok during the day. There were no tissues. Box was empty. Easy to catch public transportation towards French Quarter and Garden District.

I really enjoyed the retro look for this hotel. I was expecting that since it was down the corner from the surgical hospital that it would have been not so great. I was pleasantly surprised by the room and bedding. Would stay there again, that being said there really is not much around that you can walk to (except hospital).

It was very run down, bathrooms had lots of stains and cracked tiles. Moved us 3 times and all were bad

What a treat to stay here again

This is the best hotel. The staff are wonderfully friendly, it’s clean and orderly, and the little pool is delightful. The rooms are tailored for comfort and convenience, and it’s a fun neighborhood. Highly highly recommend.

Love the Alder. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking is super easy and you can walk to a bunch of cute restaurants and Rouse’s market. Try Ancora for great pizza.

Hotel is newly renovated, its clean, safe and really close to Tulane. Although small, it has many amenities and most importantly the staff, from room cleaning, to the porter gentleman, to front desk, southern hospitality is the first thing you notice. If you look for restaurants nearby, the High Hat café and its Sunday brunch, chef’s kiss.
