Booking was a bit confusing. I booked through VRBO but then received a phone call from Hosteeva stating my reservation would be canceled if I did not pay right away. I thought I paid through VRBO, but I guess the payment for the actual property has to be paid directly to Hosteeva. It was a bit confusing and frustrating but I got it done.
On the day of check-in, I called 1 hour before check-in to see if I could check in early. I was told they would call housekeeping to see if my unit was ready and let me know. I never received a callback.
One of the reasons I chose this property was because it was listed as a secure building. I was given a security code to get in through a guest door. After the first day we realized the guest door did not have a lock on it. While there was a keypad to enter a code, it was just there for show. Anyone could walk into the building and access the elevator to every floor.
So while the actual unit we stayed in was very nice, I was disappointed with the customer service and the property not being secure as advertised.
the property was lovely and the convienence of walking the french quarter and trolleys was great the only problem was that in 3 days two out of the 3 cars we parked in the lot that was reccomended had windows smashed and a total of 7 cars were vandelized in that time
