Located just 30 minutes from NOLA, Island Girl II is an incredibly special lakeside retreat. Our cheerful 3-BD/2-BA lake house is smartly styled with a modern coastal theme, has bright and airy social areas, comfortable bedrooms, and fantastic outdoor living spaces. Kayaks, fishing & crabbing gear are provided for use on our private pier and dock that sits directly on Lake Catherine. Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, 2 BBQ grills, pro fishing guides and more – we have everything you need for an amazing time!

Inside the home we have a large, modern kitchen with upgraded stainless-steel appliances, a prep island, and dining table for 6 – a perfect space for fish fries and crab boils! Open sightlines from the kitchen to the family living area are an entertainer’s dream, and the outdoor covered patio right off this space was made for lazy days enjoying nothing but free time on the lake. Plan on grilling the catch of the day out here on the propane grill then dining alfresco at our outdoor table with gorgeous lake views as your backdrop.

After spending a long day on the lake, there are 3 beautifully styled bedrooms waiting for you that comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Sleeping accommodations are as follows:

Bedroom 1 – King bed
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed
Bedroom 3 – Two twin beds

Outdoor living down by the lake at Island Girl II is amazing, too! Our private pier and dock are the ideal place to fish, crab and soak up some rays when not out in our kayaks on Lake Catherine. Below the home is an additional paved outdoor living space with a charcoal BBQ grill, fish cleaning station, shady picnic spot, and hose for rinsing off.

Bringing your own boat? Easy – launch it at Island Marina just down the road then drive along the shoreline to our pier where you can tie off. And they don’t call this area fisherman’s paradise for nothing! Wrigley’s marina is a very convenient 3 minutes away and they sell live shrimp. We also have great recommendations for local, professional fishing guides to maximize your sporting time on the water. Be sure to inquire if you are interested.

Staying at Island Girl II provides the best of both worlds with a location just 30 minutes from New Orleans and the MS Gulf Coast. Spend the days/nights enjoying the parties, parades and casinos then head back to Island Girl for a relaxing and quiet stay away from the excitement.
