The host was very responsive however, we did have a couple water bugs. And we ran into some people that lives in the building next door and they were way less than friendly. I thought was going to have to call the police. They yelled obscene language at my spouse and I. Once we were inside we felt safe though. The location is walking distance to bourbon and the Trolly which was nice. Overall our stay was good but I can say whether or not I would stay there again. Just because of the uncomfortableness of having to deal with the folks next door.
The unit was clean, simple and comfortable. Communication and check-in were very efficient. The neighborhood would be questionable for anyone walking alone at night. Additional hooks or towel bars would be helpful in the bathrooms to hang toiletry bags and towels to allow them to dry. Noise machine in bedrooms were helpful to mask noise at night when guests arrived in adjoining unit. Trolley line in front of unit was out of service. We utilized the LePass app using the buses (generally #8) to connect to the Canal street and then #12 St Charles St trolleys. Walgreens is a short walk away as is Frenchman Street.
The property has everything you need but it was a little out of way then what I'm used to. I like being more in the French Quarter areas so that I can walk to most attractions. Staying here st Claudia, I had to drive and park in the areas of where I wanted to be and still did a lot of walking. The apartment itself was very comfortable. The beds slept great! There are no dressers or closets in the rooms so you can't really unpack your things for a week's stay. They do have a rod in the room to hang your garments. I just think that the design could have been better to make it more useful. Because the space where the rod is, they could've easily put an armoire with drawers or shelves for your clothing. They could also add a dresser underneath the tv that is on the wall. But that's just me nit picking for more comfortability. The only real issue is that the walls are thin and residence staying in the other unit can be somewhat loud, especially if you are in the bedrooms winding down for a good night sleep. There is a bus line that can take you closer to the French Quarter that is only a 4 minute walk. The bus line directly across from the apartment was not operational. There is a local bar and a bake shop near the apartment so take advantage of that when you don't want to travel far. All in all....a great visit.
Craig and Trevor were fantastic. They were always available to answer questions, provided additional comforts (extra towels, trash bags etc). Very easy check-in and out process. I would definitely book this place again! Thank you both for a wonderful experience
