The hotel was on a great location. Very center so easy walking to highlights. I understood that New Orleans would not be a quiet town so I had asked if I would hear the street noise in the hotel room and was told no. The noise level made it hard to sleep at night. So that was a disappointment.

The room had a slightly odd layout, but that added to the charm and it was very nice. The place isn't ultra new and modern, but it was nice, clean and tidy. The service was good, though we didn't really need to use many in house services or amenities. The restaurant (Mr Ed's) was excellent. The food was outstanding... probably the best we had for our entire weekend visit to NOLA. That was quite unexpected and impressive given the town's reputation for cuisine.
