My stay was quite disappointing. A false fire alarm went off and lasted about an hour, which was very disruptive. Additionally, I experienced a lack of hot water for over an hour, and the toilet didn't flush properly. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of a series of issues. Given the circumstances, I believe a compensation of at least $100 for everyone who experienced this disaster on Thursday April 3rd would be fair.

Its a beautiful hotel downstairs, but its time for a refresh. The room was stuffy so they had to bring in a fan as AC was not on for the whole building. The fridge didnt work and there wear and tear signs in the bathroom of chipped tiles. They charge $8 for water in the room , even when the fridge is broken and everything is room temperature. There is a large daily fee for 'resort' which seems absurd as there are really no resort amenities, they didnt even have umbrellas to lend.

Despite being in midtown, it's very quiet and comfortable. Nice ambience inside the room and the lobby. The old fashioned bathroom was a unique touch. All the toiletries and towels you need are regularly replaced by room service every day.

Great Vibes... and that's about it

The vibe of this hotel is very cool, and the location is great... but other than that... I was pretty disappointed. The hotel is on an HVAC system that can only do heat OR cooling, so if you travel in the summer or the winter, it might be fine. But spring and fall will be trickier, since you will have very little ability to regulate the temperature. And not everyone at the hotel seems to understand that's the case. It was nearly 80 degrees in my room, and when engineering came up... they just cracked the window. Uh... thanks. They also promised to bring me a fan, but that never happened.

favorite hotel in midtown!

this place is so quirky and it’s perfect for the right person. think clawfoot tubs and taxidermy displays - very eclectic. i especially love the staff here! they are always so kind, especially compared to other midtown hotels (iykyk). there’s a bar in the lobby and another cafe attached. sometimes you might find an outlet that doesn’t work in your room or hand soap missing upon check in, but it’s 100% a worthy trade off for the charm and overall experience of this lovely place.

Great location, very walkable. The room was larger than other hotels with similar location and price, but I wouldn’t return. The windows in our wouldn’t close fully, with a cold draft blowing in from outside. That was the only air circulation. Otherwise no fan or air movement at all. The thermostat gave the impression we controlled the room temperature but the room was cold and the room heater never turned on. The beds were reasonably comfortable.
