OK hotel. Get what you pay for.

My key card didn't work when I returned around 1am one night. Most hotels just give you a new card but this hotel had to get security and an engineer just to get my door to open. Took about 30 minutes.

Dette hotellet ligger midt i smørøyet for dem som liker NY storbyfølelse, det er lyder fra byen som aldri sover. For oss som liker Byer så gir dette hotellet en storbyfølelse. det var litt trekkfult fra vinduene og tv var veldig gammledags, men vi hadde ikke dra tt NY for å se på tv. Portieren bar kofferter til vårt rom og fikset taxi for oss når vi skulle dra. det var kjøleskap på rommet og det var fint i forhold til å oppbevare mat og drikke på rommet. det var en liten kiosk i resepsjonen også. Bra hotel, ville dratt ddit igjen.

location was very nice, close to most everything we wanted to see. had minor problems w/ the tv and the safe, but they were quickly resolved. would have been a little more impressed had the restaurant / bar been open, but when you're this close to times square, what does it matter? would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Location

The hotel is pretty good for all the usual things I look for - clean, comfortable, price. I think the best thing is the location...just a few mins walk to be in the middle of Times Square, or 5th Ave in the other direction. The hotel needs a bit more going on in the lobby to identify itself as a hotel (it looks more the the lobby of an office building) but other than that I have no complaints and would stay here again. Would recommend the 24 hour deli just outside on 7th Ave (next door to Rosie O'Grady's on the corner) for a quick sandwich!!

Large, comfortable rooms

Enjoyed our stay very much, although the hotel and rooms are in need of minor updates. A fresh coat of paint and some artwork on the walls would do wonders! The kitchen was fabulous and had all the conveniences. Bathrooms are newly remodeled, warm and spacious. We were upgraded to a suite because our room wasn't ready at check-in. Wow, what a huge living room! Overall, it was a great value for NYC. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Mycket missnöjda, slitna rum som kändes kala och tråkiga. Behöver rustas upp. Vi kände igen oss från bilderna men på dem ser det mycket bättre ut än i verkligheten. Ingen gratis internet eller badrockar som det stod. Värmefläkt på rummet förde så mycket oväsen att det var svårt att sova med den på. Centralt beläget på Manhattan. Kan ej rekommendera detta hotell.

Sorry to lose a good one

Unfortunately, the Hotel has been sold and will be closing in Feb. We were told it will become condominiums, therefor, nothing had been tended to. The heater made so much noise we had to change rms. The toilet was backing up, the shower dripped....they sent personel when we asked but there was just too much to keep up with. We will miss what this Hotel used to be as well as the excellent location!

Overrated

No hotel restaurant. No room service. Most of the fitness center equipment is broken. Rooms are big empty spaces with cheap fixtures and furnishings. Tiny television with only a few stations. Extremely disappointed.

Great located simple hotel

Overall this is a good hotel. The staff is very professional and nice. The pics make the rooms look much bigger than they really are but they are clean. Also the workout equipment is from the 70s at least. The location is great with Times Square right below you and Central Park right above u. For the price this is a good hotel. Just don't expect a 5 star hotel and you will be happy. There's enough to keep u busy outside the hotel anyways till its time to sleep :)

Disappointing

We just spent 6 days there. The location is very convenient however the condition and upkeep of the hotel is very dated. The lobby is ok, but the lounge/bar/restaurant is permanently closed, therefore you have to go out each time you want a coffee, drink...or anything for that matter. The wifi internet in the room is $15 a day (most hotels nowadays are no charge, at least in the lobby). TV was very old and fuzzy. No face cloths any of the days. We had to ask for a kettle or coffee maker. Our heater in our room rarely worked and was very noisy and we called for someone to come once to fix it, then we gave up. The elevators are very slow, it seems that perhaps only one was working the whole time we were there. This hotel has potential but there are many little basic hotel "touches" that are missing.

Friendly staff great stay

Our family went to New York for a short vacation before Christmas and this hotel was in a great location close to Broadway for the theater and close to Times Square for the lights and glamour! Staff was very friendly and helpful! I will def stay here again when I travel to NYC!

Great hotel for a short stay!

My husband and I stayed here the weekend before Christmas and it met all our needs for a NY hotel in terms of location, price point and room size. Actually the room size was very generous in comparison to other Manhattan hotels we have stayed at. The hotel could use an update but overall for a short weekend stay in NY where most of your time is spent outside this hotel meets the standards. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The one thing that was annoying was the constant noise that kept coming from the toilet, I think it might have something to do with the pipes.
