Staff is super helpful and the hotel is in a great location. But be ready to have to navigate around Times Square. water ran cold a few nights but other than that, the rooms are clean and efficient.

Spacious room, very quiet and it’s right in the heart of Times Square. Grab n Go breakfast is a great option and included in price. Walking distance of everything in Times Square and close to subway. Very secure and would definitely stay again.

Great larger family hotel

Great adjoining family room option (2 bathrooms were great). Rooms were nice and clean and breakfast offer for $6 per person was fair for NYC prices. Only negative comment was that the street was very noisy from 3am onwards with construction and services noise.

Safety is a priority at the hotel, as room keys are checked before allowing access to the room elevators. Six high-speed elevators made getting between the rooms and the lobby a breeze. My room was pretty basic but clean and refreshed. Great hot water and big fluffy towels. Housekeeping comes every day without you having to ask. Loved having two restaurants, a bar, and a comedy club show right in the hotel. Location cannot be beat, extremely walkable to Times Square and the Broadway theaters. Also very close to the Big Bus Hop On Hop Off station, and to a CVS for the purchase of sundries. Great Art Deco details make it a beautiful hotel.

You can’t fault the beautiful period charm and features of the hotel, the cool vibe, fabulous restaurant, and location. It was our 5th time in NY and we had eaten here before, so were excited to stay and see the full glory of the hotel, and it didn’t fail to deliver. What made this a below average stay was the constant nightly noise, leading to lack of sleep. The first morning the whole family was woken at 5:45am to the sounds of vomiting from the next adjoining room. When raised with the front desk we were told the solution for this was next time we call the front desk, and they wil send security (to stop the vomiting!) credit to the manger that he moved us to another room, without an adjoining room. The rooms are stuffy but the air conditioning was so noisy you couldn’t leave it running. We had hoped that once we were moved to another room without a vomiting neighbor, the aircon would be quieter, sadly no. The same jet engine was running next to the bed so we had to go without any cooling for the stay. Finally, previously the hotels we have stayed in had great sound proofing on the windows etc. NYC is always going to be noisy, sirens and life moving 24/7, but the Edison doesn’t seem the have any means of reducing noise. We had construction outside the window across the road, hammering, drilling and building from 6am, people yelling on the street below etc, all of which we could hear. If you stay here, make sure you get a room on a very high floor, with newer aircon.
