I like the Lower East Side when I’m in NYC, because it’s generally a more quiet area than mid town Times Square. I knew Saturday nights could get loud on Orchard Street, so I came prepared with ear plugs, but it’s gotten much worse than it used to be. SO LOUD until 4 or 5 am. It Disney help that someone pulled the fire alarm at 2:30 am and emptied the building. The music can be blocked out with ear plugs but the constant thumping of the base is felt in your chest, all night long. Not sure I’ll stay in this block again if the stay includes a Saturday night. Otherwise, you can’t beat the location for access to Chinatown and Little Italy, all in walking distance. Subway access is great.

Fun times, famous people, clean place

Great experience. I read that the club pumps on the weekends, maybe Thursday-Saturday. I was out by Thursday morning, so I never heard it. Was great for me. Famous folks were there while I was there! Saw them in the elevator a couple of times. This hotel was right around the corner from Katz Deli. I wouldn't have looked for it, but it was right there and it was shockingly amazing. Expensive, but amazing! I would say this hotel wasn't near anything that I was looking for, not sure why I even chose it. Subway will get you anywhere, it's a couple of blocks away, but a cold wind made it a tough walk a couple of days. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was quiet, clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I never made it to Mr Purple, but I did order room service once. The only thing that could have made the room better would be a mini fridge and water.

Our room was small but comfortable. We missed having an additional chair for seating. Bed was comfy and bathroom was good size. Location was also good--walking distance to our son's apartment at Washington Square Village.
