We stayed here for one night after a long flight from Madrid to New York. The neighborhood felt very unsafe. I guess I obviously didn’t do my research because it’s located in Brownsville, Brooklyn which is considered by many to be the most dangerous neighborhood in all of NYC. The front desk clerk was friendly. Elevator was clean. Room was clean, except for a roach in the shower. In the morning our neighbors in the room next to us had a very loud argument which honestly scared the hell out of us. Lady threw man’s belongings down the stairwell. I was totally expecting to hear gunfire. Police were called apparently and man left. Next time we will research area better.

The male who was at the desk the night of Oct 8 was incredible hostile and aggressive in which I have him on video yelling at both my husband and I. He demanded a $60 deposit but my cards "mysteriously" weren't working, so I needed to give him cash. He claimed it was because of people smoking in rooms, but when I checked out, I got my cash back without them even checking my room, so no idea why he was ranting and raving so much about a measly $60. Also, the rooms were disgusting. We didn't have soap in our shower and when we asked for someone to come, a woman went in, did nothing, and then tried to come back around 11pm when we were sleeping. The whole experience was awful. I would not recommend.
