The only thing that was good at the MOXY was the view from the room. After an acceptable check in , the room had no amenities (except for a hair dryer and a steamer for "wrinkled" clothes that did not seem to work. No clock, radio, ice bucket, or cups that lasted more than one night. The staff was non-responsive and simply did not want to be bothered with the simplest request of an extra towel!

The staff was so friendly and the overall cleanliness and vibe of the hotel was great. They were so helpful with little things I needed to make our stay easier as we were celebrating my sisters birthday. We enjoyed the location, close to a lot of restaurants and bars. About 8 min walk to the JMZ train and 15 min walk to the L. Fairly easy street parking around the hotel too. They offer free ferry or museum tickets each day of your stay too which I felt to be a nice touch. We enjoyed the lobby bar and had hoped to enjoy the rooftop bar but it was much too loud/club like when we went up there. Rooms were pretty small but that’s expected in NYC. Overall enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The location, the ease of check in and check out and the friendliness of the staff are pluses. Also, the food and beverage credit at the bar is a nice touch. The small room sizes and awkwardness of the design take some getting used to, and a couple of the outlets stopping to function were a bit inconvenient. Overall, I’d probably stay here again.

Comfortable room but we didn't love the concept of no closet or drawers. Also, we were on the 10th floor and we could hear the noise from the club upstairs, although it wasn't loud.

The hotel is well-located, clean, and the service is great. The reason for the 3-star rating is the uncomfortable bathroom. The shower stall and toilet area have no privacy due to the glass enclosure. Additionally, you have to step out of the shower into the main room to dry off and get dressed. Just not a well thought out design.
