After waiting an hour to check-in we had to leave the line to make dinner and theater reservations only to come back at 10pm to learn rooms still weren’t available (some lame excuse about staffing). Ended up in a suite that only slept four with two roll away cots that were awful so ended up sleeping on the couch/settee. We didn’t pay more than $500 to sleep on a sofa! Only recompense was a free breakfast. VERY disappointing.

45min check-in line. Elevators took 20-30mins to arrive. A lot of guests took the stairs even from floor 20 and above because of the long delays. Sound on TV did not work. Sink was leaking on to the floor. Bath did not empty water from shower. Hotel was completely unresponsive. This is my second experience like this in the hotel in less than a month. The hotel reaches out and says this is unusual and encourage you to stay again and provide a better experience next time. It does not get better. It gets worse. Heard lots of bad experiences from guests while waiting for elevators including people who checked in and their rooms were not ready for check in even by 11pm at night and they were told to walk around Times Sq while they wait. If you choose to stay here keep in mind you will spend much of your day in lines for check-in, concierge, to pay for coffee/breakfast and for elevators.

BEWARE OF ELEVATORS, there are 6 elevators but only 2 work, it may take up to 30 minutes to get one when they get crowded. They charge you a daily "destination fee" that is not mentioned when you book your room.

The elevators were not all operational and there were many times we had to take the stairs from 38 flights up (walking down) because we would have been late otherwise. Very unreliable. Also I had a package delivered to the hotel during our stay and it was lost. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location is great. Rooms clean. Only issue is the elevators. We were on the 48th floor to get better views. Out of 6 elevators only a couple were working. Long waits for the elevator needless to say.

The TV barely worked, the beds were REALLY high for short people, the amenities in the room were literally just a coffee maker (no mini fridge), and the daily $35 charge for forcing us to use their restaurant was absurd (as the quality of food wasn't worth it). The elevator system was cool but it took FOREVER to get an elevator to come to our floor. Definitely won't be staying here on our next NYC trip.
