The elevator situation is horrible currently, as well as check in. I’ve been staying here for years and unfortunately this one may be my last. It took over an hour to get an elevator up and most of the time it wouldn’t allow you to go down.

The elevators were a major problem. Sometimes not working at all. Very frustrating. People were missing their shows or late for dinner reservations. No staff to help. Long line up’s for check in. Would not provide a late check out. No coffee cups in the rooms. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

I don’t typically do these but i felt compelled. The check in/room process was ridiculous. 45 minute line to tell me the rooms not ready and that they’ll give me a call (never got a call). Bag check was $6 a bag and had its own line. Returned at 4pm to a 1 hour line to get my keys. It’s 2025 and you’re a part of Marriot. Create an app or get some kiosks. Modernize. We finally got the keys to our room and got to the elevator bank. It felt like i was leaving a massive event. Whoever designed this elevator system likely takes joy in humans suffering. You have to select your floor on a panel and then the elevator only goes to selected floor so by the time you get to your assigned elevator 20 other people have rushed in. There were so many 200+ people in the elevator area it must have been a fire hazard. People got stuck in the elevator multiple times and the bells from the elevators were being ignored. We finally got into an elevator and it didn’t stop on our floor. This is like hour 2 of trying to get to our room. Thank god for the housekeeping lady that let us use a service elevator. We finally got to our room and i was shocked to discover that the rooms did not have heating. It was 30 degrees outside and maybe 50 inside. The blanket was a thin sheet. I wore 3 layers to bed. It felt like i was on a camping trip. The check out process took 30 minutes at 4:30AM. I’m not sure if this is just how things are in Times Square but it was shocking.

Very close to everything NYC related. Vert Large and busy hotel. The elevators were always jam packed becuse the hotel was full all week. The gym facility was phenomenal for a hitel business. All staff were corteous and helpful.

The room was fine, however water in showers was lukewarm. However, the major deficiency was the elevators did not work. You had to plan for 15 minutes extra to be able to ride the elevator both coming and going to your room! Totally unacceptable. At one point we had to ride the freight elevators. Also, $35 food credit was a joke.

Clean comfy room. Nice view. Too much standing in line! Check in am, check bags line, the to get key a very long line I waited in until they announced a line for just keys. I had already stood for 45 mins. Then another line to get our bags!! What is the point of the convoy app and being alerted to check in and app room key?? You should study the awesome Disney world system! Elevators were not fun. Took a looong time to get to lobby mon am. Many elevators just past 32 by. I could hear them coming and going!

Room was good, but water for your shower was cold. Also heard from other guests they were having the same issue. Elevators were down half the time we were there and there was an incident with other guests getting stuck in the elevators including a free fall situation. Bar was minimal at best (seating and service). A lot of construction.

The window did not fit. Open air gap of one inch, both sides, top to bottom. Almost impossible to keep room warm. Bathroom full of mildew. Elevator system a disaster. Web site needs to be updated to reflect actual dining options (minimal) during renovations.

Two issues I had were that it took 2 hours to check in. We got there at 6pm and couldn’t check in until 8pm and that’s because I went to the desk to ask. The biggest problem which was for 3 days was the elevator issue. They had more than 6 but only a few were working. We had long wait times then ended up get off on another floor and walking up 30 flights of stairs!!! It was crazy. Room was fine though

For a busy weekend they definitely we not adequately staffed for check in’s or check outs—- to drop off a bag it took over an our- it ended up ruining the rest of our trip because we couldn’t do anything else because the lines in the hotel were so long. Only one elevator was working and it took 45 min to get to the lobby because the elevators were packed. The plumbing in the room wasn’t functioning so we had to get them up there to fix the plumbing to be able to use the bathroom in our room. The bathroom was dingy and had mold on the walls and the corners were covered in mold. The small ventilation in the shower was disgustingly covered in caked on dust barely able to pull out anything it was so filthy. Very disappointed in how inconvenient everything was on one of the busiest times of the year. Location was the only plus of this hotel.

Front desk was not staffed accordingly. Checked in at 6am and wasn’t able to get into room until 5:30pm. 2nd weekend of December at 4pm only one staff member checking in people into their rooms. Line was out the door. Waited 1.5hours in line. Talked to people in line and everyone seemed to have already begun the check in process.

It felt like the elevator was going to fall all the way down to the basement. There were times we couldn’t catch an elevator going down from our room. Going up at times was difficult to get to our room. Never seen anything like it.

The location was excellent and the room was decently sized for NYC. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The elevator situation was unsafe and unacceptable. Elevators frequently did not work at all, forcing us to take the stairs to the 37th floor. When they did work, waits were 45 minutes or longer and we got stuck in one for 35 minutes. The elevators would also randomly drop. I witnessed multiple panic attacks, including within my own family. At one point, the stairwell was locked, effectively trapping us on our floor. An unbelievable and dangerous situation with no accessible fire exit. Every staff interaction was unbelievably rude and the hotel nickel-and-dimes guests at every opportunity. We waited two hours to check in only to be told our rooms were not ready at check-in time. There was no seating in the lobby and staff repeatedly made us move. This ultimately forced our group to pay over $80 just to leave our bags so we could exit a hotel that clearly didn’t have space for its guests. Despite Marriott Gold Elite status, late checkout was denied due to “full capacity.” We also couldn’t use the $35 daily resort fee benefits because lines were extremely long. Additional issues included cold shower water, outlets that didn’t work, a mysterious wet spot on the carpet, and a view blocked by a broken shade. Management never followed up after promising to call. For the price and brand reputation, this stay was unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel

The hotel is centrally located, very walkable to Broadway, Times Square etc. Its the WORST Marriott property that I've stayed in (I'm a Gold Member and have stayed in many). The elevators were not working and had to walk down 30 floors thrice, once carrying luggage. We managed to get on the elevator a couple times after a 20 - 30 minute wait. The room was dirty and the phone looked like somebody smeared caked dirt all over it & if you ever used the in room coffee machine, you would get instant immunity. Wish i could upload photos. If you were lucky, you got hot water and non existent water pressure The one BRIGHT spot - The Staff - They were very helpful and apologetic STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU PICK A DIFFERENT HOTEL !!
