Check in and elevator process to get to the room was the most unorganized and stressful process we’ve ever experienced at any hotel ever. Would absolutely never stay here again.

Tried to check in and they said that the room was not ready at that time but they would call when it was ready. They did not call when it was ready and when we went back had to wait in an extremely long line to check in again- even though we waited in line to check in earlier and did the check in process at that time. Then elevators were not working properly. People got stuck in the elevator so we had to use the service elevator each time we wanted to go up or down from our room. When we used the elevator the first time directions were not properly explained- what to do or where to go. Then we had to wait again in an extremely long line for the service elevator. We also had to wait 5+ minutes for the elevator when there was no line. The rooms are dated and there is a crack in the bathroom sink and multiple outlets in the room do not work. This is unacceptable for $800+ for one night

The experience at this hotel was very disappointing. I had to wait in long lines for everything: the check-in took me the whole afternoon, and the next morning I lost time again just waiting to get breakfast. I was traveling with my family and my two young daughters, and my baby cried the entire time we were kept waiting. For a hotel that is not cheap, they should definitely have more staff to attend to guests. Also, parking is not included, even though the reservation makes it seem like it is. I don't recommend it: the wasted time and poor service ruined a big part of our stay.

The room was alright, elevator horrible, staff were friendly. No follow through on request for coffee cups(was none in room) the 2 days we were there. No restaurants on site or microwave. Definitely not what I expected for the price paid

Room need an update and smaller even for a NYC hotel. The double beds seemed a bit smaller then a normal double bed and the pillows where terrible. The most have been many years past normal use. Elevators where not working well and wait time on average was 10 minutes. Yes, I know around Christmas the hotels are busy, but 8 plus elevators banks and 10 minutes to go up or down is stupid.

The location is great, the room sizes were nice, and the beds are comfortable. Most of the staff are very welcoming and helpful with the exception of one very cranky front desk lady. While they have multiple elevators and it seems like only one or two would work at a time so you’re often waiting 10 minutes or more for an elevator. The water in the shower never gets hot so just be prepared to take lukewarm showers every day. I was there in December so maybe it’s different in warmer months. If you arrive any earlier than your 4 o’clock check-in time and want to walk around the city, you will have to pay six dollars per piece of luggage to have them hold it for you. It would have been great to have a fridge and microwave in the rooms to keep food in. We had so much great food while in New York but no way to keep and reheat any of the leftovers.

Lots of issues: 1. Check in took over an hour and half to get through the line. Mind you it was already 11:30pm so everyone was tired. This was due to tech issues. 2. We get into our room (after waiting in the long line) and it smells very heavily of cologne.) So we request another room (which they did). 3. Come to find out this room has no remote for the TV. We call for another one… 4. The employee tells us their television isn’t working and that we should have been told that upon arrival. 5. Elevators were not working very well. 6. Our room outlets would not charge because the charger kept falling out of them. By the end of the trip, I had had it. Owner isn’t great. Standards of a Sheraton hotel are not being met and they are getting away with it because of the location of the hotel. It’s walking distance to nearly everything. With that being said, the staff was doing their absolute best to make up for the issues (which is 100% not their fault.) Lin at the front desk gave us a coupon for breakfast as an apology. Management came to the room and tried to assist with the cologne smelling room. While their ownership sucks, their employees did amazing. They truly deserve a better place of employment. This Sheraton doesn’t deserve them!
