This place leans more 2-star than 3-star. The photos definitely oversell the rooms. Mine was mostly clean, but there was some leftover residue on the shower wall; looked like toothpaste or something. The TV had poor reception with limited channels, and the remote batteries were dead. The room does have a microwave, a coffee maker and a fridge. The bed was comfortable and the curtains do a great job blocking out the light.
Breakfast is very basic: one or two cereals, white toast, waffles, and watered-down juice that doesn’t taste like apple or cranberry. No protein, no eggs, no real options if you're expecting something substantial.
The upside, the staff. They’re genuinely kind, responsive, and helpful. There are a few food spots within a 3 to 5 minute walk, a couple of them open late; maybe even 24 hours. you'd have to confirm. Just keep in mind this is a commercial area, so there’s nothing to do nearby. The subway is close, cheap and easy to access.
If you just need an affordable place to sleep outside the city, don’t care about amenities, want a very simple continental breakfast, and value professional service over aesthetics, then I’d recommend it. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere.
