Staff was nice. Wound up not getting the room with a view that I booked because they were full. Need to request a fridge if you want one in the room. They need allow a late checkout which was nice.

The room was older but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a change of plans and needed to change booking from a King to a Queen, which was done.

The hotel definitely has old world charm. The staff did a great adjusting accommodations for the need for accessibility. Most of the staff was pleasant and helpful. We only ran into one encounter with a staff member when we decided to extend our stay. This was eventually resolved to our satisfaction

This hotel truly embodies old-world charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Almost all of the staff were friendly and very accommodating upon our arrival, especially regarding our accessibility needs. We encountered a single issue with one employee when we chose to extend our stay, which was eventually resolved, but it was a problem that should not have occurred. One housekeeper stood out as exceptionally wonderful. We would recommend The New Yorker for your visit. However, there were a few aspects we found odd and somewhat inconvenient. The primary concern is the absence of a refrigerator or microwave. In addition to the bathroom drains, particularly the sink and tub, they drained at an exceptionally slow rate, which we attributed to being located on the 31st floor of a very old building.

There is no breakfast available, but they do have a Diner to go eat individually. All was good, except that the last 2 days there was a lot of drilling outside in my window. I had a cold, there was nonresponse on the phone tonreception. I had to come down and they offered me.another room.

I brought my 11 year old daughter for her very trip to NYC. Cutomer service was fantastic. Mohammed is who greeted us at the front desk for check-in, and I found him to be very friendly, welcoming and caring. He even rang our room 10 minutes after our arrival to ensure our satisfaction with the room. After an intense morning of traveling from out of state, his compassion, understanding and help was much appreciated.
