You get what you pay for

It was relatively clean and you get what you pay for, especially in NYC. The floor was totally uneven, and I got screamed at by the woman in the next room for sticking my head out the door to ask about a loud mechanical noise (which I guess was not the hotel’s fault, technically, but was definitely unpleasant). I won’t stay there again but it also didn’t give me bedbugs, so 3 stars.

For the price staying here was definitely worth it! The hotel was pretty clean and had all the typical hotel amenities. One thing I will say is that the towels were not full length and were very thin. My partner was not satisfied. Our door also did not fully close unless you pulled it shut which was a bit sketchy. No window in our room because we didn't choose to pay extra but we did have a little porch, however it was shared with adjacent rooms. At night it was very quiet which is not something you find often when you stay in NYC. The area is great, there's access to multiple subway stations within a 2 min walk (4, 5, 1, R, W). Also there's a great cafe on the corner. Not my favorite place I have stayed at, but because it was so cheap compared to other hotels in the area, I can't complain.

Prima hotel voor een prima prijs, vriendelijk personeel. Wel heel erg gehorig zeker als er gasten zijn die denken alleen op de wereld te zijn. Als je licht slaapt neem zeker oordopjes mee. Wij hebben in de nacht niet gemeld bij het personeel. Wel een super locatie

Minimalist accommodations at a reasonable price

We chose the Tribeca Hotel FIDI for its location (which was great) and kitchenette (which was less than we hoped). The staff was uniformly friendly and responsive, and they did their best to make us comfortable. But the building is loft-like with high ceilings and concrete floors and no decor to speak of… so the street noise and partying guests were incessant. It proved a trade off between affordability and comfort.
