The “deluxe” rooms are nicer than their standard rooms with shared bathrooms that are a series of standalone bathrooms which you can use with privacy: in other words not the dorm like / gym locker room like bathrooms in the non-deluxe rooms

While I didn't mind the facility and I was only there for very short time, I could tell that the building was getting old as in how the room condition was on the walls and how squeaky things can be and how shower was easily overflowing and causing a puddle....etc. Also, unfortunately there was some strong odour coming from one of my neighbours, I really don't know what it was! Im not sure if it was some kind of food like how some pickled vegetables and items like that, certain foods like durian or fermented foods can have a very strong odour depending, it could have been an odour from someone that was unsanitary...I really don't know. However, that would be my only complaint. The staff were nice and helpful, I don't have complaints around that.

Deceitful surcharge!!!

I have stayed there many times before but this time they insisted on a $10 a night cash surcharge when none was mentioned in the Hotel.com reservation. This is so wrong. I think is very deceitful. I am trying to see if it is against the law.

Room is good but pillow is very uncomfortable. Three bathroom stalls but only one closes, three shower stalls but only one has decent pressure. One night I had to shower with no hot water. Front desk won’t call you a taxi and you have to pay $4 dollars per bag for them to keep it if you come early for check out

This is a good hotel for the price. I stayed for a couple days by myself and had very little issues. The staff was nice and helpful with my couple of service demands. The only issue I had was that the showers oddly alternated between hot and cold water because the shower knob was a little flimsy. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to come to New York but is on a bit of a tighter budget.

Easily the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. Floors of the room were filthy. Hallways stunk. There was poop all over the washrooms. I know it’s a hostel and standards aren’t going to be the highest and I come knowing that but I figured at least bare minimal cleanliness standards would be at least slightly met. No issues with the staff I interacted with but I had very little interaction with them. If you’re looking to stay at a hostel, spend a little more and try the International Student Center.

I like that you can check in at anytime after 3, I used the hotel because I worked that day and I did not want to commute to NJ. However unable to sleep cause it was noise all night. In the morning around 8-‘when I wanted to shower to get ready for work both bathroom in same floor were being clean so they did not allow people to shower in that floor they wanted us to go to 9 th floor.. it’s unacceptable that they wait to clean the bathrooms at a rush hr time when people get ready to leave… also showers dirty when i tried to shower before bed time .. the location is perfect !

Clean but sparse furnishings, but that's what I wanted. I didn't go to NYC to spend all my time in a hotel room. Easy check in, great cardio room, quiet, clean bathrooms. Close to Lincoln Center, Central Park, Columbus Circle. I will stay here again.

This was my first stay and I really wanted it to work out. Unfortunately, I left after one night. In the room, someone had busted out one of the air conditioning accordion panels, in winter. I am assuming that someone did it to smoke but it was not caught by housekeeping or just not fixed. Two of the three bathroom stalls did not lock. The only one that did had a toilet paper dispenser so large it hit your legs. The showers have curtains that you can see through. They are not fully transparent but I did not want to shower there. The final straw was seeing a large (like two inch) insect in the bathroom. I am assuming it was a roach but I did not stick around to find out. I am generally not afraid of bugs (have spent a significant amount of time in Costa Rica) but together with everything else, I was out. I never got to the pool but be aware that you have to wear a swim cap. If you don't have one, they sell them for $20. I can say that the staff were nice. Overall, very disappointing.
