Upon arrival, the unit was not properly cleaned. A mop was left in the bathroom, and there was visible water damage throughout the apartment, which appears to be an ongoing issue that was not mentioned in the listing.More concerning, the host controlled the thermostat remotely and kept the temperature at 64 degrees during a weekend with significant snowfall. We were unable to adjust the heat ourselves, which created an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe environment.At approximately 4:30 a.m., the bathroom sink overflowed and flooded water onto the floor while I was brushing my teeth. This indicates a plumbing failure and significantly disrupted our stay.These conditions—lack of cleanliness, undisclosed water damage, host-controlled heat during severe winter weather, and an active plumbing issue—do not meet Vrbo’s standards for a habitable rental. Had these issues been disclosed, I would not have booked this property.
