The Tryp is a cute hotel. Its shining star is probably Dutch's, their onsite restaurant. Room was nice but there was nowhere to sit other than the bed and an ottoman. Also, one lamp was broken. Staff was somewhat attentive - but by no means gregarious.

Where to start? - Shuttle did not show from 4:50-5:50 despite running every 30 minutes. We even called 4 times and each time they said it was coming within 10-15 min... Complete waste of time.. - No breakfast included, and quite expensive if you get it there ($20/pers). - Rooms are quite noisy, both from the doors to other rooms and from the outside. I woke up at 2 & 3 from the backing up alarm of the shuttle bus...

The hotel is in walking distance from Penn Station and the NJPAC. The hotel staff as well as the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the hotel gives an overall modern look and atmosphere.

The room was large and a large comfy bed but all the large towels had stains on them so had to use the small ones. Room rates very expensive, especially excluding breakfast. Constant noise from fans but slightly drowned out by earplugs. Reception staff friendly.

Hotel was clean and quiet despite being in the center of the city. Very accessible walking or using public transport. Hotel shuttle could be a little more reliable, but with the hotel a shirt walk to Penn Station it wasn't a big deal. We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant or bar, but other travelers raved about it. The 25% extra and parking fees could have been a little more clear. Overall, a great experience and will stay again.

Please keep in mind this was our experience. The shuttles were NEVER on time. We had to call front desk multiple times to check/request the shuttle when it was supposed to be at the locations every 30-60 minutes. The staff were polite enough, but not friendly. The beds were AWFUL. The moment you laid down, they would sink in so incredibly much it was impossible to be comfortable. And finally, one time I was sitting down at the front desk waiting room (waiting for yet another late shuttle) and there were spiders in the couch!
