The ground floor is an open plan kitchen and living space, finished to a high standard with comfortable sofa that can be made up as a double sofa bed and TV. The space is shared with a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar to seat two guests with a further table available for two more guests if required. Patio doors open out from the living area onto a lovely enclosed garden with corner sofa seating, manicured lawn and shrubs. Take the stairs up to the first floor where a galleried kingsize bedroom awaits, dressed with comfortable and soft linens for a dreamy nights sleep; there is space around the bedroom with a further window looking over the back garden. An en-suite shower room is just off from the bedroom for convenience which is modern and finished to a great standard. Overall The Retreat is a beautiful holiday home to be enjoyed by you.

Kirklington is a quaint village setting and exudes a peaceful countryside charm with its winding lanes. Visit the village’s stunning medieval church, St. Swithuns, known for its architecture and stained glass windows. For outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding countryside offers numerous walking and cycling routes allowing you to soak up the beauty of the rural landscape. A short drive away is Newark Castle which stands as a testament to history and gives you a glimpse into the area’s past. The castle often hosts events and exhibitions that showcase its heritage. National Civil War Centre in Newark will take you back to the 17th century to uncover one of the most turbulent times in British history. Sherwood Forest is legendary and famous for its association with Robin Hood and its ancient oak trees and makes for a fantastic day out, along with Clumber Park. Norwood Park, Newstead Abbey and Southwell Race course are close by to visit. Head into he market town of Newark where you can enjoy a diverse range of shops and boutiques.
